The White House on Friday rejected the accusation from Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., that the administration leaked sensitive travel information for her foreign trip, calling it a “flat out lie.”
"When the Speaker of the House and about 20 others from Capitol Hill decide to book their own commercial flights to Afghanistan, the world is going to find out,” a White House official said. “The idea we would leak anything that would put the safety and security of any American at risk is a flat out lie."
Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff Drew Hammill said in a statement earlier Friday that Pelosi and other members of Congress were preparing to take commercial flights abroad to proceed with a previously scheduled trip to Brussels and Afghanistan, which President Trump canceled Thursday amid the ongoing partial government shutdown by revoking their use of military aircraft.
“In the middle of the night, the State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service provided an updated threat assessment detailing that the President announcing this sensitive travel had significantly increased the danger to the delegation and to the troops, security, and other officials supporting the trip,” Hammill said in the statement. “This morning, we learned that the Administration had leaked the commercial travel plans as well."
Citing the “grave threats caused by the president’s actions,” Hammill said the delegation of lawmakers decided to delay the trip “so as not to further endanger our troops and security personnel, or other travelers on the flights.”
Trump’s decision to cancel the CODEL, or congressional delegation, was an escalation in his ongoing standoff with Pelosi over a deal to fund a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, for which Trump wants $5.7 billion.
Pelosi, meanwhile, is opposed to funding for the wall and has called it "immoral."

Yeah or maybe snagging a coach seat to Kabul on an Air India flight after a six-hour layover in Delhi. Yep, I can see gazillionaire Princess Nancy doing that.
The president can declassify any information at any time... like who might not be going to nowhere.
Is that true, that 86 other people were going on the flight. Anyone fact check that yet?
It sure looks like they are trying to duck out before an indictment (treason?) is released...

Does Afghanistan have an extradition treaty with the USofA?
Why does she need to go in a war zone, to get top security briefings and all that? Is any of this really in the need to know of the Speaker of the House?
And if she does need to be in the top security loop, don’t they have electronic communications on a regular basis from these trouble spots back to our officials in Washington?
So just what was her business in Brussels, Afghanistan and the middle east in the midst of a govt shut down? With all the wailing and gnashing of teeth over the plight of govt workers. All of them democrats who every day have sedition on their lips. Their leader being 3rd in line to the presidency.
Odd is it not that her canceled military flight was common knowledge but she now accuses the Trump White House of leaking her commercial flights to Afghanistan.

I basically said the same thing yesterday when I wrote she can get all the up-to-date intelligence briefings she wants, in the comfort of her Capitol Hill office. She doesn't have to fly around the world to do that. She's just ticked that she got found out, and President Trump pulled the rug out from under her, thus embarrassing her.
From what I heard, the trip had previously been undisclosed, but that doesn't matter, because it never took place. Somebody tipped Trump off about it, and he took care fit. And to claim that the White House leaked her commercial flight plans, when she never even had any is totally bogus. Pelosi is humiliated she got found out, and she should be. There were no Republicans going on that trip with her and her cronies. That right there should tell us she was up to no good. All I know is that I would love to know what was said on that bus yesterday afternoon when they got the word that the trip had been cancelled. LOL!!
The Sex Pistols wrote that song "Liar" just for Pelosi (in the same way that Hitlery was named for the first guy to the top of Everest, and that Al "Jazeera" Gore invented the Internet).
Her spokes indicated the Congressional delegation (of 7 lawmakers accompanied by 93 others said to be family members)
"decided to delay the trip" b/c of concerns for safety and security.
As justa-hairyape insightfully indicated, it is shocking that Nanzi and other elected members
deliberately planned to bring their loved ones into a war zone.
More egregiously for we, the people..... at no time were taxpayers informed that the travel
party on the taxpayers' dime consisted of 93 people and only a handful of selected members.

My question——is Pelosi a Speaker-——or a travel agent?
Now assuming that's true: how would they have gotten last minute commercial airline tickets
(maybe a private charter?) to Afghanistan, Egypt and Brussels for 93 people?
To accomplish what "Pelosi says she did" would have taken staff from several Congressional offices
and would have created a flurry of communiques--------a highly traceable paper/electronic trail.
"Come clean, Nanzi----let's see the paper trail and the electronic trail."
