We had male cheerleaders at our high school in the late 60’s. They were called Yell Kings and were not homos, although they did wear white pants.

My ex-MIL was personal secretary of Texie Waters, who trained and choreographed the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. A cheerleader got a hundred fifty dollars a game, or $2400 a season. They also have mandatory practices 2–5 times per week during the season.
Why anyone would want a ‘job’ like that passes me by.

Prolly gonna get flamed for this, however, there have been male cheerleaders in college f/b forever so not sure why it’s an issue. Having said that, never understood what good they do anyway, male or female. Never heard of a team winning a game because of the cheerleaders.
