David Horowitz: ‘White Privilege’ Is a Racist Idea
Breitbart ^ | 1/25/2019

Posted on 01/25/2019 2:56:50 AM PST by Altura Ct.

Across the country, re-education sessions are routinely held in businesses, professional offices, medical schools, universities, and even kindergartens. Their purpose is to teach the un-woke about the evils of “white privilege,” and make white people who participate uncomfortable about their skin color. Whites are to own up to the fact that regardless of their intentions, beliefs, behaviors or status in life, they are elite participants in a racist system that oppresses “people of color,” and are so merely because they are white.

But discrimination on the basis of skin color has been outlawed in this country for more than 60 years. One might reasonably ask, “WTF is white privilege”?

Here’s my politically incorrect answer: White privilege is the gift of being the only racial/ethnic group on the planet which it is okay to single out for abuse. Indeed, such abuse is obligatory for all who regard themselves as “woke,” and who aspire to promote “social justice.”

This is a category that includes the media, the popular culture, the educational system, and such shapers of public opinion as Don Lemon; Joy Ann Reid; Joy Behar; Brian Stelter; Rachel Maddow; the editorial boards and reporters of the New York Times and the Washington Post; and the Democratic Party.

“White privilege” is the privilege of being regarded as untrustworthy, prejudiced, and blind to the injustices one’s skin color is said to inflict.

Of course it Is. As are many other things, concepts and laws.

Who in DC stands up for whites?

“But discrimination on the basis of skin color has been outlawed in this country for more than 60 years.”

Nonsense; decades ago they made it legal to discriminate against whites in terms of affirmative action for access to higher education, jobs, and promotions - and today that is REQUIRED (woe to any company or government entity that doesn’t have the right ratio of otherized people at all levels!).

“White privilege” is the privilege of being regarded as untrustworthy, prejudiced, and blind to the injustices one’s skin color is said to inflict.”

White privilege is the sad mantra of non-whites who believe in their own genetic inferiority, who have given up attempting to compete. I’ve never heard Asians (real Asians, not Pacific Islanders) use the term, with good reason - they feel no inferiority.

True- what I have found in when people spew the phrase “white privilege” what they are doing is trying to smear and vilify those of us with a strong work ethic. They do not want to work for anything, they want everything handed to them. Like my wise husband says, they don’t want equality of opportunity, they want equality of outcomes from those of us who work hard and smart.

a strong work ethic

Yes, that is considered cheating by those who don't have the ethic.

Before I retired from P&G we had a lot of those. They weren’t called “white privilege” seminars but were called “diversity training”. All they did was talk about how to treat minorities, gays, etc. One white lady was suspended for 3 days for saying she “wished she had Roger back as supervisor”. Roger was white. The current supervisor was black. One of the black women on the team accused her or racism and the black plant manager suspended the white lady that said NOTHING about race. Roger happened to be a good and very skilled supervisor while his black replacement was not. I had good supervisors of both races so I know it had nothing to do with her being a racist. She happened to be right. They didn’t fire her but it ended up on her personnel record. They finally moved the black supervisor, several times, because he couldn’t do the job but they wouldn’t let him go.

Some of them do want to work, but they don’t want to spend time/money on education or training; at its simplest, I see uneducated non-whites in clerical positions b!tch about educated whites (of either gender) moving up in the company while the non-white feels they should be promoted instead simply because they were working there first. Any discussion about job requirements (knowledge, tech ability, etc.) means nothing to them.

A hopeless situation; “white privilege” becomes the backup screed when non-whites fail.

Americans are being indoctrinated by the cult of Cultural Marxism. Americans are in the process of jumping aboard the Cultural Marxist Train. The train’s purpose is to run down anyone, without the due process of law, anyone who is perceived as the “oppressor.” This is the weaponization of Identity Politics. It is a seductive thinking for women and others, who have been conditioned to think they are powerless and oppressed, to be given the keys to new power. It is a seductive thing to be able to beat down your perceived enemy with a ideology that redistributes power based upon Identity. It is the Wizard of Oz handing down power to the Tin man, the Lion and the Scarecrow based upon fantasies as fictional as Unicorn farms.

It was bad before, but after 8 years of Obama it’s so much worse today. This was the “fundamental transformation” he talked about. That mofo poisoned everything; Society, race relations, entire governmental depts, congress, justice, foreign affairs, education, healthcare, I don’t know if we’ll ever recover. I think the only way we can is we vote out all the RINOs and replace them with true patriots, real Republicans, real Conservatives not only in congress but in our justice system as well. There are so many crooks, so many enemies of this country right now walking around that should be in jail #1 being Hillary Clinton and it’s not happening. Like my tagline says......

Think what the foot soldiers of the Left would have done with Hitlary in command. Today, the Left is committed to do what Hitlary is unable to do with the executive power of the White House.

Yes, and even six years ago when I retired they were bad. I can only imagine how much worse they are now. I retired at 58 because I couldn’t deal with the stupidity any longer.

I didn’t voluntarily go to work for P&G. I went to work for Duracell in 1976. Gillette bought us many years later and then P&G bought Gillette, and us.

As a subcontractor on state funded construction projects I can tell many stories of discrimination based on skin color. If you are white, good luck. They don’t care how good you are, they only care about the right color.

When I was a chemist in the early 70’s, I interviewed at P & G. I was rejected because I had previously worked for J & J and had a non-compete agreement from there.

It’s really hard to get on at P&G. When we were hiring we would have 3500 or more local applications. My brother graduated from MTSU and worked for AT&T for several years. He retired early and applied at my plant. They told him he wasn’t what they were looking for but no other reason. I assume it was because he was a white educated male. He was extremely qualified for anything they needed. It wasn’t because of me either. It was normal to hire family members and I was a 37 year employee with an excellent work record.

Before I retired we were working rotating 10-12 hour shifts. I was in leadership. Openings were coming up in administration that I was qualified for and my supervisor/s told me to apply so that I could get on day shift and off the manufacturing floor. I got word that P&G had decided to fill those jobs with people from plants in other states. I turned in my retirement papers that week.

They make the argument that racism is genetic, but gender is a choice.

It is all based on rhetoric and emotional manipulation - no substance at all.

I wish we would move toward rejecting the use of “racist”, which is entirely without an objective definition and which in modern usage is a synonym for “bad”.
