If I understand your correctly, you are saying to reopen the government to get a deal? A deal can be had without ending the shutdown.

The President must have been sick at heart that the Coast Guard, part of our beloved military, could not be paid during the Shutdown. I think that did the trick.

Seeing as the shutdown is now officially over, there’s nothing to keep POTUS from giving the speech in the House chamber, right?
Trump can now make the case for a border wall to the American people, right?

The more I look at what Trump just did, the more brilliant it looks to me.
He just took away Chuck and Nancy's biggest reason for their nonsensical defiance. He just captured the high ground, and now the Dems have no excuse to not come to the table. If they still refuse, the whole country will see that it's the Dems who are obstructing.

I listened to his announcement, I sorta think he gave the SOTU speech then. It also went out on all the networks. Wonder what Nasty and chucky think about the folks they have talking with the Republicans? Trump better hold the line now. I also think there’s another shoe about to drop. RBG, Venezuela, or something. I don’t have a white flag, guess I’ll just dig in and wait.

I think the President has made a very smart move here he’s told the democrats to make a deal or he’s going to call for a nation emergency to build the wall he’s especially going to be justified with the new caravan of people heading this way I know a Leftist judge will overturn this but I do think if he can get this to the Supreme Court he can provel this may be his only route to getting the wall I know he would much rather have Congress approve the wall it legitimise it more I’m afraid if he builds it thru a national emergency the next leftist President will have it tore down
My newly elected Democrat Representative from my central NY State district was among other Democrat newbies who met with President Trump last week at the White House, and he voted with the House Republicans both times to fund the wall. I agree, not all House Democrats are on board with Pelosi. I didn’t vote for him, but did call his office and thanked him for meeting with the President, and voting for the Bills. It doesn’t hurt to let someone from the opposing party know when they’ve done something right.

He could have done that 3 weeks ago if that is the case...he could be doing the national emergency EO right now instead of 3 weeks from now.
