Navel gazers united. Hate to tell them but, sometimes the REAL world, it can suck a lot. Peace, love, harmony all sound so awesome. They fail to see that sooner or later, assholery will surface and someone will want to be in charge no matter who they have to remove to get there. It’s how people are. No ‘jill-ette’ commercial will change that.

There is a youtube video which compares many forms of government. It's quite well done. On the one hand, you have a Republic, where the Rule of Law is supreme, and everyone is treated equally under the law. It's all written down, and people can see what is allowed and what is not.

The video then goes through Democracy, Fascism, Socialism, Communism, and whatnot and shows that in each case, what it comes down to is Oligarchy -- rule by a few powerful individuals. People want Democracy -- but it turns into Oligarchy. People want Socialism -- but it turns into Oligarchy.

In the end, there are two choices: Rule of Law or Rule of Men. And the folks on the Left pretty much know that, and they embrace Rule by The Powerful -- because they really think they will be on the top of the pile.

But the pile is always a pile of dead bodies, and the soft little do-gooders are at the bottom of that pile.
