The first thing that needs to be said about President Trump's decision to sign a measure re-opening part of the federal government without getting money for the wall he demanded is that his experience as a New York businessman was no help. Perhaps he failed to recognize that Democrats are the party of government and no one guards the power, cost and perks of government better than they do.
As long as Democrats stuck together -- and they did (Republicans should learn a lesson) -- he was bound to lose. Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer were justified in their smirking reaction. Schumer bragged, "This agreement endorses our position."
Of course a wall, or barrier or something, is needed to stem the tide of those who enter the country illegally, and some border patrol agents agree. "Absolutely" helpful, Brian Hastings, a U.S. Border Patrol chief of law enforcement operations, said back in November, as the immigrant caravan inched its way toward our border. Aren't these agents on the front lines more knowledgeable than career politicians playing their annoying games in Washington?

We have all been watching this movie since the 1980’s. You know the ending. There is no wall built in the plot. TRUMP is one man. He is but a speed bump. The trend is that America is no longer a sovereign nation. The change has occurred. We are not in Kansas.

Getting money for the wall is easy end all entitlements to all illegals and force them to pay back what they have received.
One of Trump’s most successful ploys has been to paint his opposition into a corner from which they cannot escape. He has done this with remarkable success against Pelosi and Schumer. Their insistence on shutting down the government rather than protecting our borders is a blazing message.
Trump is unwilling to allow government workers to suffer at the hands of open border politicians. He will get the Wall because it is morally responsible and will protect the people of our nation.
President Trump has forced the democrats to die on a hill that no moral person would defend. By strategically losing a battle he has forced the hand of the democrats and will win the war.
Dems do not contain morals.
This is to a large extent true. President Trump is used to dealing in good faith with people who want to make a profit. Now he is dealing with pure evil - the left's will to destroy and to enslave. That's something he has no experience with. I hope he learned and is ready to use his emergency powers. It's time for all 1,900 miles of wall - this year - since the globalists won't fun 300 miles of wall.

They seem to have no stomach for war...I guess they thought that since Trump is President, hey, their job is done.
I think of WW2. There was no guarantee we would prevail, there were dark days and months. I guarantee that the LAST thing we need are sob sisters telling us how it's an impossible task. We know it's difficult. You don't need to tell us.

Okay, before anyone gets too wildly bent out of shape by the cartoon above, let us admit that we're only reporting on appearances here - and in the Wild World O' Trump, appearances can be deceiving. We honestly don't know if Donald Trump's temporary end of the government shutdown is a cave or a Burmese tiger trap with sharpened punji sticks waiting to impale overly cocky Democrats (and yes, we're looking at you, Chuck Schumer).
