He has to pay off (every month) the military generals, the court-judges, favorites of his entourage, and the police chiefs. I would take a guess that it’s in the range $200-to-$300 million a year.

Good move on Maduro’s part. Now he’s got himself some hard cash. If he can get basic necessities to the Venezuelan people fast enough, he might be able to buy himself another year or two in power.

This assumes, of course, that most of the money won’t be diverted to Swiss bank accounts.

I’d love to get inside of the mindset here. “Hey we’re gunna pull this thing out, just wait, it’ll be great!”. He should have just taken the money and run. This is what you get when room temp IQ’s get to run a country.

Well....where does he go? The only country in the Americas that might take the guy is Cuba. I don’t even think that anybody from Africa or the Middle East would take him.

The USA’s great advantage is that the world is forced to take our central bank printed dollars. At least for now.

Imagine if Maduro had that advantage?

What are the odds that Maduro will be on the plane with the gold when it leaves Venezuela?

The middle east will take him. He can live next to Jacob Zuma in Dubai.

The USA’s great advantage is that the world is forced to take our central bank printed dollars. At least for now.

And its hard to foresee the day when that won't be the case. Every other country is in worse shape than we are. And they are all terrified that if the music stops they'll be left without a chair.

That plus the fact that Millenials have consumed the Kool-Aid is why I believe we're about to plunge headlong into socialism.

like obama and pelosi, maduro will get a cut
of the money transferred. secretly.
as the country starves.

as venezuela eats shoes and each other,
the socialist will gain another billion dollars
by behind the scene schemes
