Cindy McCain is apologizing after recently reporting suspected human trafficking at the Phoenix airport because she saw a woman and child together who were not the same race — but her fears turned out to be unfounded.
Police investigated and said there was “no evidence” of wrongdoing, according to local news.
Initially, the widow of Sen. John McCain told Arizona radio station KTAR on Monday: “I came in from a trip I’d been on and I spotted — it looked odd — it was a woman of a different ethnicity than the child, this little toddler she had, and something didn’t click with me.”

SGT had to come out and say it didn’t happen - there was no human trafficking.

We are adoptive parents, including two Asian kids. People say thoughtless things. As adults we have learned how to deal with it, but it can really hurt children.
She should move to Virginia and run for public office as a Democrat. She’d fit right in.

Not to take up for this moron, but people need to get a grip. No one was harmed by speaking with authorities about something that may have seemed off. That in fact, should be encouraged. However, her making herself out to be some kind of hero is typical McCain stupid.
Um, yeah, and has she noticed her own dark skinned Blangladeshi adopted daughter.
