I thought that my family had made it clear, or at least I had, that the Trumps are unwelcome around me, and that my father had been sort of very clear about the line between the McCains and the Trumps,' she told Colbert.
'So I was surprised when they were there. And it made me uncomfortable, and I hope I made them uncomfortable, honestly, with everything,' she continued, referring to her jibes at President Donald Trump while eulogizing her father.
During her eulogy, Meghan McCain criticized 'cheap rhetoric from men who will never come near the sacrifice (her father) gave so willingly.'

McCain appeared on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday night, describing her shock at seeing the couple at late Senator John McCain's September 1 service at the Washington National Cathedral.

This idea of inviting or uninviting people to a funeral is alien to me. It’s not a wedding. You announce it, people who care to just come. That’s it. Yeah, sometimes an ex-wife that the deceased hated shows up and you think “why is she here?” but you don’t tell her to get lost and go on television and say you’ll never forgive her for coming. That’s absurd and shows some real emotional instability.

Donald Trump will always be remembered as the 45 President. Your father will be forgotten for the most part except to be a footnote in Obama’s Presidency and his turncoat vote on Obamacare.
Your father was a bitter old man rotting in Hell right now because of his burning hatred. If he had not rode the coattails of his family name we would have never heard of him, just like you.
Your father was a liar who stole his way to power and then committed one of the greatest acts of desertion when he voted for Obamacare. He was and always will be a liar. He was a war monger that conspired with the enemy. I suspect some of his torment in Hell will be continuously hearing the cries of the lives he willingly helped sacrifice in his war mongering that died due to his derilection of duty.
