The Green New Deal has emerged as a key litmus test for prospective 2020 presidential candidates, with high-profile candidates jumping on board to back the progressive environmental pitch.
On Sunday, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) entered the 2020 race after supporting the proposal. Four other senators who have declared presidential bids have co-sponsored the resolution, and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who is mulling a 2020 campaign and has previously supported the concept, will back the plan.
Their support highlights one of the progressive ideas at the center of the Democratic race, while the Republican National Committee dismissed the proposal as a "massive taxpayer boondoggle and a socialist dream come true."

Why would you stand behind a deal like this when it is — looks like something that was put out by a 10th grader?

WSJ’S KIMBERLEY STRASSEL CAN’T GET OVER GREEN NEW DEAL
The Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel was not impressed by the rollout of the proposed Green New Deal — in fact, she argued that “if a bunch of GOPers plotted to forge a fake Democratic bill showing how bonkers the party is, they could not have done a better job.”
As Democrats rolled out the resolution, the commentary and criticisms rolled out as well. Strassel was firmly and decidedly in the camp of the latter.
"By the end of the Green New Deal resolution (and accompanying fact sheet) I was laughing so hard I nearly cried. If a bunch of GOPers plotted to forge a fake Democratic bill showing how bonkers the party is, they could not have done a better job. It is beautiful."
Strassel followed her initial tweet with a series of key points to illustrate her initial assessment. The facilities, solar panels, and turbines required to deliver “renewable electricity” on the scale described in the GND would take up more space than the entire state of California.......500k square km. Also note, govt (taxpayers) will pay for these—not private sector.

Yeah, this is what Dems promise - a totally made-up Unicorn world, not based in reality, but it feels and sounds so good! Not true, not practical, not even original...
This “Green New Deal” has nothing to do with the environment; that is the Trojan horse for this:
“The outline states up front that a Green New Deal must not only “promote justice and equity” but also seek to repair harm and prevent future injury to those most vulnerable to climate change and the fossil fuel economy — namely communities of color, indigenous peoples, migrants, rural communities, the poor, people with disabilities, the elderly, and young people.”
It is a money grab from envious trash, determined to get it from a white population that simply evacuates any time a critical mass of unproductive people infest an area (municipality, county, or state) - and avoid paying for them. It is one of the reasons Obama tried to nationalize the socialism of the sh!thole states - so people and companies couldn’t simply re-locate to states with better business and tax climates to escape the punitive costs of socialism.
These people are dangerous; while the older, whiter Dems will say they don’t support socialism, they certainly do (by other names - like “Green New Deal”).
I don’t understand why the last bits or impartial media are not reporting this as a race-based hustle that it clearly is (to address “economic disparity” for people of color); maintaining the charade that this is “environmental” in any way seriously downplays the danger these people pose.
Apparently affirmative action with quotas and guaranteed food, clothing, and shelter (mainly at the expense of whites) for decades was insufficient reparations.
As I watch whites contracept themselves to oblivion, it breaks my heart - then I read this racial vitriol and think these anti-white racists deserve what is surely coming when the last whites disappear. Look no further than Haiti; even Zimbabwe still has some whites holding on there.
