Democratic Florida Rep. Ted Deutch and Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez plan to reintroduce a high-capacity gun magazine ban Tuesday to mark the one-year anniversary of the Parkland shooting Thursday.

The legislation, which would ban any magazine that exceeds 10 rounds of ammunition, has been dubbed the “Keep Americans Safe Act,” reported CNN. 2020 Democratic presidential hopefuls including Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Kamala Harris of California are cosponsors.

“The fact is that these high-capacity magazines allow someone to fire off more than 10 rounds in a row,” Deutch said according to CNN. “You don’t need that if you’re a hunter, you don’t need that for any purpose. You don’t need that for sporting purposes.”

Leave it to a pervert3d sleaze like Menendez to sign off on something like this. Once again we see the most vociferous hoplophobic militant gun control advocates tend to have serious ethical and legal issues of their own. The history of the gun control movement is a study in hypocrisy of the worst kind.

Hey. Just because he broke the law doesn’t make him a criminal. Obviously. ;-)

Rosa Parks did not “need” a seat on the bus, she got it because of the Constitution.

I don’t “need” a large magazine, but it is my right under the same Constitution.

There is a way to change the Constitution.

Until they go that route, they should just shut up.

It won’t get passed & even if it did would be as unenforceable as the new law in NJ.

If the states want to station cops at firing ranges to search range bags & make arrests when they hear more than ten shots at a time, well, that’s CWII in the offing right there.

I would like to remind Rep. Deutch and Sen. Menendez that from 1998 to 2008, the United States had such a magazine ban in place, and the Columbine shootings took place.

The magazine ban didn't stop school shootings then, and it won't stop them now.

‘94 - ‘04, but the conclusion is the same.

***plan to reintroduce a high-capacity gun magazine ban ***

Gee, I remember when the five and six shot revolver were the ULTIMATE EVIL in American society and the same people demanding they be banned, (”Long guns will not be affected!”) have suddenly found the six shot revolver is not so bad after all.
Don’t worry. Once they ban magazine firearms they will be back for the revolvers.

We blow this sh*t off at our peril.

Now is when we need to make the most pro-2A noise we can.

These idiots hate it when you tell them that 2A is not about hunting or "sport".
