Gun control advocate David Hogg is urging fellow gun control proponents to fight efforts to arm Florida teachers for self-defense.
His attempt to rally gun control supporters comes as Republican legislators in Florida seek to expand the state’s Guardian program to allow teachers to carry in the classroom for self-defense after volunteering for the program and going through the proper training.
The Guardian program currently applies to school staff members but bans guns in the classrooms, which is the very place teachers and their students huddle and hide in the midst of an attack. Republicans want to augment the program so that teachers can protect themselves and their students if all other measures fail.

How is it, that David Hogg became famous and an activist here? How is it, that in other school shootings, none of the students became nationally famous, in the media constantly, etc. ? What is so special about this guy, that the media have apparently anointed him as their gun control guy?

Perhaps because the vast majority of them are too discrete and sincere to make a career from the bodies of their classmates.
Shouldn’t he be in college or something studying for an upcoming test?
I have to admit, he can make a pretty convincing case. When you can talk Harvard into lowering their standards to accept you, that’s a big deal.
One of his other recent comments was that AR 15 owners are “hunting people” from “1500 meters”
He’s trying to take O’Bumhole’s spot as “Gun Salesman of the Year”
This showcases his real objective here.
It is not protecting children.
It is disarming the population.
Children are only the tool he is using to push disarmament.

He provokes no concern or anxiety or even anger in me at all.
He has neither the intelligence nor the likability to go anywhere and his obvious character flaws will result in a devastating downfall from pretty low heights to begin with.

Richmond, Indiana is what happens when everyone is engaged. The community was warned. The police did not hesitate to respond.
Hogg will have to live with the failures of the system where he lives.
