In the early hours of the morning, Congress delivered an absolute dud of a spending bill in order to keep the largely-useless federal government open at the expense of people who fund it.
As noted by Jessica Vaughan of the Center for Immigration Studies, the bill will hamper the ability for the Department of Homeland Security, and thus Immigration and Customs Enforcement, to remove illegal aliens from the United States.
“None of the funds provided by this Act… may be used by the Secretary of Homeland Security to place in detention, remove, refer for a decision whether to initiate removal proceedings, or initiate removal proceedings against a sponsor, potential sponsor, or member of a household of a sponsor of an unaccompanied alien child…” said section 224(a) of the bill.

Basically, if an illegal adult accompanies an illegal minor, this bill would prevent the removal of the adult. Human smugglers (and Democrats in Congress) should love this section of the bill. It grants amnesty to anyone even tangentially related to an illegal minor.
Many of the border security objectives touted by President Donald J. Trump will not be addressed as this bill is written. This is but one small section of an abomination of a spending bill, which is expected to be sent to Trump’s desk Thursday evening.

No one ever accused the President of being a Goldwater conservative. The Kushner’s are limousine liberals and given the nature of the DC swamp, Trump is pretty much isolated except family.
Why is it called Kushner’s bill in the headline? I didn’t see his name in the article, and I haven’t seen articles elsewhere that suggest that he engineered this atrocity.
If he would stop listening/doing what they say, his approvals might be higher. Also, those two need to go back to NYC, raise their kids and get jobs.

Headline blares Kushner, but body never mentions him at all. Kushner is not a legislator so it is not his inside Kushner’s budget bill.

Agreed. Now there very well may be some things in the bill that appeals to Kushner, but I highly doubt he’s the architect of it.
