I have to say, one of the most ego-stroking, totally misplaced "compliments" I ever got was when I was protesting near the White House with the DC Chapter Freepers, and an elderly couple who were tourists asked me if I was Gary Sinese!
I look NOTHING like Gary Sinese, but boy, did my ego swell, and it wasn't because I wanted to look like him. (This was a picture taken on that day...you can see there isn't any resemblance!)
To inhabit that same sphere of consideration for our armed forces that he has and to contribute respect and resources like he has would be one of the highest honors I could hope to achieve...and that is why my head swelled!
