Before Tawana Brawley, there was the “civil rights” activist who was filmed spray painting racial slurs on her door. And that was just the earliest instance of which I’m aware. There were also the two black kids in New York in the ‘90’s who painted their faces white and said some white supremacists dood it. Police investigated and discovered it was a hoax. When they’re busted, however, the hoaxers invariably say that this sort of thing happens all the time, even though their particular incident was a hoax. They’re right. This sort of thing does happen all the time. I.e., leftards stage phony attacks all the time. The boy who cried wolf and his supporters get offended ‘cause you called him “boy” and pivot on to that.
I read on another thread a few days ago that it was she had spoken to one if his family members about the situation the day after it all broke on the news.

“In your press statement today, you asked how Smollett ‘could slap everybody in this city in the face’ by making false claims. You didn’t ask how he could slap all Trump supporters in the face with his lies.
“You said he dragged Chicago’s reputation through the mud. You failed to say that that he dragged Trump supporters’ reputations through the mud.
“You said ‘justice’ would be for him to be held accountable for what he did, which included him apologizing to the City of Chicago ‘that he smeared’. You failed to say that Smollett should apologize to Trump supporters whom he smeared with his false accusations.
“You negatively mentioned the (Democrat) politicians who supported Smollett. You didn’t mention that they wouldn’t have done that if Smollett hadn’t lied with his ‘MAGA hat’ and ‘This is Trump country’ statements.
“So here’s what I think ‘justice’ should be. That would be YOU deciding to man up, be honest, and tell the WHOLE truth. Until you can do that, I’ll have no sympathy for you, your department, or that city.”
What if people had of been so “upset” that they went out and started looting and rioting....was Jussie going to come forth with the truth to stop it or watch it burn? My money would be on him letting it BURN. If it hadn’t of been 30 below that could have happened. The whole concept of Trump supporters in CHICAGO trolling around in 30 below weather looking for gay black men to LYNCH at 2 in the morning wearing red MAGA hats and yelling “THIS IS MAGA COUNTRY!!!” would happen when pigs fly.
