We missed a golden opportunity in the early 90s when we failed to dismantle Russia.

If there is another Cuban Missile type crisis, the Left will be largely responsible.

Before the election, Trump expressed his desire to work things out with Putin. The opposition from the Left was thunderous from the start.

The Left made it impossible for President Trump to effectively deal with Putin.

Perhaps I am too sanguine about this sort of thing. But the notion that “his country currently has the edge when it comes to a first nuclear strike” is just silly now.

We have subs, They have subs. It doesn’t matter who goes first and it doesn’t matter who has “an edge”. Pretty much everybody dies. And no one wants that.

Neither Russia nor the US is led by crazy ideologues who want to take over the world. We are dealing with realpolitik and leaders who want to make their country more powerful. Getting your country turned to ash isn’t part of the plan.

Putin knows that we are ahead of him in all the important ways. He also knows that Trump is a skilled negotiator. Not a pushover. So Putin is saying stuff because he’s angling for some kind of deal. That’s not scary. It’s just business.

Take us to DEFCON 4 and leave it there until he re-thinks himself.

The Soviets were lying when they said
the USSR would never strike first. But,
at least they felt the need to say it.

The missile issue goes right back to Obama and his pledge of “flexibility”.

40 US soldiers completely massacred 400 Russian mercenaries in Syria last year. That’s why Putin is saber-rattling.

Dear Vlad,

Those hypersonic weapons in your holster don't have a very high success rate and they're not fully deployed.

Since you know we know that, you're pandering to the public and it will have no effect, except for the gullible MSM.

The US is the first country in history not to exploit a decisive military advantage in weaponry against their mortal enemies when they had the opportunity to do so.

The entire history of mankind is achieving a decisive technological advantage and exploiting it while the advantage hasn’t been obtained by the enemy.

From 1945 to 1950, the Soviets a)didn’t have the bomb and b) really didn’t have the means to deliver one, and c) couldn’t make enough of them to do the job completely.

The Soviets were convinced we would eventually nuke them. They never, ever believed that we wouldn’t do it because had the roles been reversed, they would have used that advantage.

It wasn’t until the very end that they finally got that we’d never do it.

If the Soviets had had the bomb, they would have used it in that four to five year span.

Too big. But there was a window when George Bush was in office with a GOP Congress and conservative USSC for the US to take out Cuba as a thorn in our side and rescue the Cubans from communism. Evidently letting them rot under a dictatorship was easier then abrogating a treaty with a nation that no longer existed.

That may have been when I no longer had any use for Bush.

Come on Pooty Poot, you know that you own president Trump, right. Mueller, democrats, Hollywood, academia and the MSM all know that too.

I have a long list of people who should pay dearly for their attempted coup.
