Maduro Forces Gun Down Unarmed Aid Workers,Headlines Vary

Amidst reports that Venezuelan Soldiers loyal to Socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro gunned down civilian volunteers attempting to deliver humanitarian aid at the southern border with Brazil, killing one and wounding over a dozen, Marxist media outlets in the US have been mostly silent. Those that have commented have chosen some interesting headlines for the massacre.

New York Times
Deadly Violence Erupts on Brazil Border in Venezuela Aid Showdown

Vox
President Maduro’s forces clash with Venezuelans in aid showdown

NBC News
Woman killed, dozen injured after clash with Venezuelan security forces

CNN
Venezuela's military kills woman in standoff over international aid ...

Wall Street Journal
Shots Fired as Venezuela Opposition Faces Off With Maduro Near ...

Reuters
Indigenous Venezuelans wounded after clash with security forces: relatives

Clash, standoff, face off, showdown. Interesting choice of words, I think, considering the civilians were reportedly unarmed and were attempting to receive food, water and medicine provided by the U.S. and others via Brazil when they were fired on by troops.

Would it be called a clash, standoff, face off or showdown if US forces ever had to defend our southern border? I think not.

Announced Democratic candidates for U.S. President have been silent on the massacre.

Compare to headlines when a negligent central american father drags his kid 1500 miles to America and then the kid dies while in custody after contracting an illness along the way.

Roger Waters hardest hit ... or maybe he’ll ignore this along with the other human rights abuses?

Remember the “unarmed” part the next time you hear some crybaby American anti-gun rant.

From the NY slimes:
The political opposition, led by Juan Guaidó, the head of the National Assembly who declared himself president last month, has vowed to forcibly bring in aid this weekend.

Stay tuned should be a violent weekend coming up in Venezuela. - Tom

Its stupid, it’s perverse to refuse aid freely given.

But, I have to ask, did this occur on Brazilian or Venezuelan soil?

I admire the nobie bravery and selflessness of the aid workers, but if they were pushing into Venezuela after being warned, they were reckless in the face of threats by an evil dictator’s forces. And, the aid would have been confiscated or diverted, anyway.

Very sad.

From the articles, they are Venezuelans, a group of natives attempting to receive aid at the border. Blockade runners, I guess, but what do you do when people are starving and food is offered?

I read similar stories in Iraq, Libya & Syria, 7,000 dead, 40,000 maimed & 100,000’s of mentally injured American servicemen ago. All three of those nations are wrecked & we are Trillions more in debt.

This is for Venezuelans & South Americans to handle.

We need to air-drop millions of these over Venezuela.

And throw in a hundred thousand of these low-cost beauties.

*** This is for Venezuelans & South Americans to handle. ***

I notice on Marco Rubio’s Twitter feed, he is saying a bunch of crap, but not stating any of it as confirmed fact.

“Hearing reports” of a woman killed “Hearing reports” of bus driver seriously injured.

Another regime change foray.

No doubt, Neil Young is hard at work on a new song. "Four dead 'cause of Ma-Dur-O".

I don't know whey are still called "the media" when they are really propaganda activists for the communist left.

I think it's time to change what they are called. How 'bout "commie dregs" or some other equally descriptive phrase?

You need to catch up on the details of this situation. The aid has been sitting on the border for weeks, people are dying if starvation and the military is illegitimate, directed by an illegitimate ruler, condemned by all but 5 nations in the world including the pope. This is actually a crime against humanity by Maduro.

Sorry, unclear. Pope is among handful of supporters of Maduro. Maduro is condemned officially by USA, UK, Canada, civilized world. The aid is $53 million of food, supplies, medicine, from USA, France, etc.
