The special counsel Robert Mueller will apparently soon turn in a report to the new attorney general, William Barr. Sure, there is still a lot of activity, including subpoenas, flying around, but that shouldn’t stop Mr. Mueller.
The report is unlikely to be a dictionary-thick tome, which will disappoint some observers. But such brevity is not necessarily good news for the president. In fact, quite the opposite.
For months, the president’s lawyers have tried to discredit Mr. Mueller and this report, but their efforts may have backfired. A concise Mueller report might act as a “road map” to investigation for the Democratic House of Representatives — and it might also lead to further criminal investigation by other prosecutors. A short Mueller report would mark the end of the beginning, not the beginning of the end.

I’m assuming the worst here.
No way in hell Muller spends all that time and effort and comes away saying “Oh, I guess we didn’t find anything at all”. Even if what he finds is minimal, there’s no way the Dems in Congress and the media treat it like that. As far as they’re concerned, it’s the smoking gun.
The issue of the Mueller Report is only the conclusion of Step 1 in this whole affair.

Road map? To where? He did all the investigating he could think up, and came up with nothing. There’s no paved road. There’s no dirt road. There’s no mountain trail. There isn’t even a way cleared through the brush to walk through.

You are right. There is no possible way Mueller would cheerfully accept the abuse of wasting all that money and saying “Gee, it sounded like a good idea at the time. Guess it was a dry hole after all. Oh, well.” Never.
Maybe when young Trump was attending services at the Marble Collegiate Church (Norman Vincent Peale used to preach there), he accidentally wrote the wrong donation amount that didn’t agree with his donated check one week, so it was technically charity misrepresentation fraud on federal income taxes and the IRS will have Mueller’s guys send him to Leavenworth.

I’m figuring Mueller labels Trump an “unedited co-conspirator” on the basis of... absolutely nothing other than Mueller can do that. No actual charges needed.
I never trust the New York Times. NEVER. They are part of the deep state. So strike ONE... and heads up...lets wait and see what the report says and THEN report.
