Father in Heaven, we have earned your wrath. When the rod is spared, the children are spoiled. For so long You have heard our prayers and acquiesced to spare us the rod as we've promised to do better. But we have failed. Thank You for being a patient and loving Father. Thank You for giving us the opportunity to do better and avoid discipline. But our tipping point has been reached. Our very souls are in jeopardy. If we refuse to protect the most innocent among us, we are unworthy of being saved ourselves. And so I ask -- we ask -- that you spare the rod no longer. Discipline your children in love; save us from ourselves. To those requiring much correction, please deliver much incentive. And to those requiring little, please deliver little that none suffer more than is required to live. For this in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
