Bernie Sanders has Plenty of Communist-Praising Democrat Company

“I remember… being very excited when Fidel Castro made the revolution in Cuba.. It just seemed right and appropriate that poor people were rising up against the rich ugly people….In 1959 everybody was totally convinced that Fidel Castro was the worst guy in the world and all of the Cuban people were going to rise up in rebellion against Fidel Castro…They forgot that he educated their kids, gave their kids healthcare, totally transformed the society…..So they expected this tremendous uprising in Cuba, but it never came.” (Bernie Sanders.)

So a prominent Democrat sings the praises Fidel Castro and Che Guevara’s Stalinist handiwork? Is this unusual?

We’re not talking about a “man-bites-dog,” earth-shaking event here, amigos. In fact, regarding this Democrat “civil rights champion’s” affection for the jailers and torturers of the most and longest-suffering black, female and gay political prisoners in the modern history of the Western hemisphere, regarding this Democrat “peacenik’s” infatuation with the war-mongering terrorists whose lifelong dream was to nuke his homeland, regarding this Democrat “LGBT champion’s” endearment for a regime that herded gays into forced-labor camps en masse—regarding this fervent Democrat “non-interventionist’s” fondness for a regime that sent tens of thousands of troops and terrorists into dozens of nations on five continents and militarily occupies Venezuela—regarding all this Bernie Sanders probably qualifies as a ho-hum, standard-issue, mainstream hypocrite—oops! I mean Democrat.

Think I jest? Or exaggerate? Fine. Let’s have a look:

“Viva Fidel! Viva Che!” (Two-time candidate for the Democrat presidential nomination Jesse Jackson, bellowing while arm in arm with Fidel Castro himself in 1984.)

"Fidel Castro is very shy and sensitive, I frankly like him and regard him as a friend." (Democrat presidential candidate, Presidential Medal of Freedom winner, and “Conscience of the Democrat party,” George McGovern.)

“Fidel Castro first and foremost is and always has been a committed egalitarian. He wanted a system that provided the basic needs to all Cuba has superb systems of health care and universal education…We greeted each other as old friends.” (Former President of the United States and official "Elder Statesman” of the Democrat Party, Jimmy Carter.)

Now here’s Democrat New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio: “I also think it’s well known that there’s some good things that happened (in Cuba) -- for example, in health care.”

ldquo; The countries like Cuba or Canada or Russia or a lot of places in this world spend half what we spend per capita and they got better health outcomes than we do, (deputy chair of the Democrat National Committee Rep. Keith Ellison.)

Now regarding Bernie’s imbecility about the Cuban rebellion “that never was.” Forget the proverbial "tree falling in the forest with no one to hear it," instead consider this:

If a bloody and ferocious anti-communist guerrilla war rages for half a decade right off the U.S. coast but the Fake News Media steadfastly refuses to report on it, and the Fake History Channel steadfastly refuses to produce documentaries on it --did it still happen?

"NO!" according to Bernie Sanders.

But in fact, when the Fake News Media and Fake History Channel call Che Guevara a “guerrilla fighter” they’re, correct, but unwittingly. The term “Indian fighter” was used for cowboys who fought against Indians right?

Well, one of the bloodiest and longest guerrilla wars on this continent was fought — not by — but against the Castro brothers and Che Guevara, and only 90 miles off our coast. And just so you know, Bernie Sanders: these desperate and valiant guerrilla-fighters were not exactly “rich.”

You see, amigos:  Farm collectivization was no more voluntary in Cuba than in the Ukraine. And Cuba’s Kulaks had guns, a few at first anyway. Had these rebels gotten a fraction of the aid the Afghan Mujahideen got, the Viet Cong got — indeed that George Washington’s rebels got from the French — had these Cuban rebels gotten any outside help, some obscure bandit/terrorists named Fidel Castro and Che Guevara would merit less Wikipedia space today than Pancho Villa.

Oh, I know, I know, liberals, libertarians and ignorant smarty-pants (but I repeat myself) love quoting George Washington's Farewell Address, “it is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world.”

But Washington was very fortunate the French didn’t feel that way from 1776-1781 or his rebellion might have culminated with him dangling from a British noose. In fact, more French troops and sailors fought at the decisive Battle of Yorktown than did Colonial troops.

Interestingly, that frequently-denounced (by liberals, libertarians and legions of smarty-pants) “ignorant rube” Donald Trump is among the few public figures to publicly acknowledged our debt to France. "France helped us secure our independence. A lot of people forget that. In the American Revolution, thousands of French soldiers fought alongside American troops. (President Donald Trump, 7/13/2017.)

At any rate, Raul Castro himself admitted that at the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis his troops and their Soviet advisors were up against 179 different "bands of bandits" as he labeled the thousands of Cuban anti-Communist rebels then battling savagely and virtually alone in Cuba's countryside

Che had a very bloody (and typically cowardly) hand in one of the major anti-insurgency wars on this continent. Many of these anti-communist guerrillas were executed on the spot upon capture, a Che specialty.

Carlos Machado was 15 years old in 1963 when the bullets from a Che-commanded firing squad shattered his body. His twin brother and father collapsed beside Carlos from the same volley. All had resisted Castro and Che’s theft of their humble family farm, all refused blindfolds and all died sneering at their Communist murderers, as did thousands of their valiant countrymen.

On Christmas Eve 1961 a young Cuban woman named Juana Diaz Figueroa spat in the face of the communist executioners who were binding and gagging her. They’d found her guilty of feeding and hiding “bandits” (Che Guevara’s term for Cuban rednecks like Carlos Machado who took up arms to fight his theft of their land to create Stalinist kolkhozes.) When the blast from that firing squad demolished her face and torso Juana was six months pregnant.

We, the older generation, are fighting against the tide of > 40 - 50 years of brainwashing our young.

The current young generation, especially people younger than mid-thirties, they truly don’t see socialism as morally or inherently evil.

I just hope that after the CWII die down and if (big if) their side wins, I will be long gone.

“...So they expected this tremendous uprising in Cuba, but it never came.”

That’s because they took away all the guns, something our young (& old) socialists refuse to acknowledge.

I ran across this quote in an American Spectator article, Venezuela’s Slow Bern: “…while one may vote oneself into socialism one has to shoot oneself out of it…”

Worthy of immortalizing on a t-shirt, & maybe a tag-line...

The intellectual life of the whole of western society is increasingly being split into two polar groups...literary intellectuals at one pole - at the other scientists, and as the most representative, the physical scientists. Between the two a gulf of incomprehension.”

“…while one may vote oneself into socialism one has to shoot oneself out of it…”

I was trying to think of any socialist country/system that was brought down by citizens with guns and I can’t think of any. Can you? USSR, China, Cuba, Vietnam, Cambodia, North Korea...?

No, but they immediately moved to disarm their populations, didn’t they? Which is why the leftists here have gun control (& eventual confiscation) high on their agenda. Without the ability to fight back you simply have to wait & let the thing collapse. With half the population starving in the meantime...

My point was that what you quoted has never happened. Sounds macho, but it’s just bluster. You better use the guns while you still have them, or better yet make sure these bastards never get in power.

Most of those countries were very very poor and the average person did not have the luxory of having an expensive gun. Moreover, they made sure they banned guns before or during the takeover.
None of those countries were flooded with guns and ammo like America is right now.
