At CPAC, a grave dishonor to John McCain and America
Washington Examiner ^ | March 1 2019 | Tom Rogan

Posted on 03/03/2019 9:48:33 AM PST by rintintin

" How long will the America we grew up in remain good and great?" asked conservative commentator Michelle Malkin at CPAC 2019 on Friday.

Not that long, in my estimation, if Malkin and some of the attendees at this year's Conservative Political Action Conference set the nation's course. Because referring to conservatives who have supported immigration reforms she opposes, Malkin also said this during her speech: —— Josh Billinson @jbillinson Michelle Malkin points skyward and mocks "the ghost of John McCain" from the main stage at CPAC. Gets a standing ovation from some in the crowd. ——- Ghosts cannot defend themselves. But the honored dead deserve better than those of weak wit seeking wallets of unrighteous fury.

Sen. John McCain was not simply a tireless public servant, he was an American patriot who gave everything for his nation in war and peace. The Arizona Republican's views on immigration reform were honestly and morally held, whether you agreed or disagreed. Either way, he, and American honor, deserves far better than this putrid insult.

If she meant to truly mock Senator McCain, she would have pointed down, not up.

May just be a glitch, but I think I just got booted from Disqus yesterday over at Townhall.com because I pointed out that Guy Benson probably wasn’t allowing any articles on Malkin’s speech because she slammed the #neverTrump gods, Romney, Ryan and McCain

“Michelle Malkin points skyward and mocks “the ghost of John McCain” “

This is where I break ranks with Michelle Malkin. She was pointing in the wrong direction...

The mush-mouthed Never Trumper who appears on the misnamed All Stars segment. I notice his Wikipedia page says he was educated in London not that he was born and raised there. I suspect he’s an Aussie pretending to be a Brit.

John McCain was a bad guy and people know that no matter how many times swamp creatures lecture us on the opposite.

He’s a Brit trying to get the US in a war with Russia. He was on the Mclaughlin Group.

John McCain was a terrible person with a terrible temperament.

He dated other women while his wife was in the hospital.

How many planes did he ditch or blow up?

He’s worth peeing on his grave, but nothing more.

This relates to another recent post talking about the emotional narrative stories the left uses to manipulate people.

“Today’s media storytelling has perfected a genre of intensely sentimental and spontaneously generated folk tales, especially stories dealing with race and sexuality.”

This is the same thing using dead people, who ostensibly are sacrosanct, as it’s vehicle.

McCain was a bad pilot who disobeys orders and worked against and even was a founding member of the Coup of 2016. He was not a conservative, not a hero.

Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me!

McCain was a disreputable, narcissistic asshole who never saw a good man’s back he didn’t imagine stabbing. The world is far better place now that he’s not in it.

“This is where I break ranks with Michelle Malkin. She was pointing in the wrong direction...”

By that, do you mean she should have been pointing at the ground? Personally, I thought her speech was second only to President Trump’s. Neither of them minced any words!
