"If, under the Constitution, we compensate people because we take their property, why wouldn’t you compensate people who actually were property?”

Reparations is a bad idea, but . . .

If it is determined to be necessary, don't sugar coat it. Make both the purpose and the remedy clear.

One easy way: first, adopt a test to determine who is white and who is black. Mark them so there is no confusion.

Next add a reparations fee to electric bills (say $100 per month) to all identified white people and disperse the money to those entitled to reparations.

Plan to end the reparations fee when those receiving the benefit announce they have been compensated enough.

I wouldn't mind paying reparations with one condition.

Once the money is paid, that's it.

No more discussions of racism. No more demands for more programs and more money. No more blaming the white man.

If we're going to pay extortion money, once we give them the money the extortion ends.

They won't take the deal.

Not for nothing...that’s about the silliest idea I’ve read in a while...
