Giving up clean water for Lent seems kind of extreme!
As part of survival gear, everyone should have a filtration device to create drinking water from unsanitary sources. You can survive a long time without food, but not so without water to drink. I have a portable device. For the home, I can build my own filtration device (plenty of how-tos on the Internet).
Same place they always are. They will send in blue helmets after the country is divided and they will do nothing but party hardy. With so many young, beautiful, hungry and poor girls and young boys, it will be a party to remember. Meantime, the UN can extort another 50 billion or so from the US. There will be peace because all will be bribed. The Russians will insist on the Reconstruction leadership.
Lilibeth will die if she really drank that water. Or is this fake news? They had a lot of fake news reporting on farmers who’s families were starving and they had bare land around their house and their house empty of even furniture but they forgot to airbrush out the dish on the roof.

These poor Venezuelan people whom 90% want out of this hell are trying to fight the Guardia Nacional and the turbas (gangs, collectivos), with their *** bare hands.*** Every day, it is sad and pathetic to witness. This would have long been over a year or two ago and Maduro on a beach in Cuba or at the end of the long rope in Plaza Independencia, but they cannot bring the dictatorship down with the limited resources at their hands. It is clear to see.
Historically it has happened before, but this one we get to see in real time play by play. We are witnessing history in the making.
They voted for this. Let them starve.

Well, actually, the facts here: they "did not vote for this". In the last election for President in Venezuela, the People had enough and threw out Maduro, but he rigged the election results through his PSUV-controlled Election Commission very late in the evening and conducted essentially a coup d'etat, denying the victory to opposition candidate Capriles-Radonski (supported by USA). Everybody knew they had overturned the free election and the public will. That is why they are in the mess they are in. Chavez did this same thing during a referendum on his power. They are corrupt to the core. The people are in the streets, trying to undo this. They deserve our support. Please, let's be on the right side of history here.
Letting them starve to make an example out of them for electing Chavez and Maduro IS the right side of history.
