CNN’s Don Lemon ties Donald Trump to college admissions cheating scheme
Fox News ^ | 13 Mar 2019 | Joseph A. Wulfsohn

CNN host Don Lemon managed to connect President Trump to what has been called the “largest college admissions scam ever prosecuted by the Department of Justice” on Tuesday night by saying the president also benefited from a rigged system that favors the elite.

Earlier in the day, law enforcement officials announced 50 indictments for those involved in a scheme in which wealthy parents allegedly paid large sums of money for their children to be accepted at prestigious universities across the country. Among the high-profile individuals swept up in the controversy are TV actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin.

When Lemon tackled the topic during his opening monologue, he called it “disturbing” that such well-off families would go to such lengths to get their children into college and quickly pivoted to Trump.

The “CNN Tonight” host said that such a scandal can reinforce many people’s beliefs that the “system is rigged against them,” something he noted was a theme during Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

CNN primetime shows filled with liberal opinion, not straight news as network claimsVideo “This is what Donald Trump tapped into and in a lot of ways, guess what, he was right,” Lemon conceded before using the scandal as the impetus to mention the president's own upbringing.

“A lot of people will point out, and they have every right to do so, that Donald Trump himself is a beneficiary of a system that’s rigged in favor of the elite. Let’s not forget The New York Times investigation that revealed at age three, Donald Trump was earning $200,000 a year in today’s dollars,” Lemon told his viewers.

“He was a millionaire by age 8,” Lemon shrugged.

Irony is that it turns out that Obama is remotely connected.

Note even that remotely, his daughter’s tennis coach was indicted. But f-trump is the order of the day.

Speaking of which, we never have seen Obozo’s college transcripts and SAT and LSAT scores. I wonder if he was academically qualified to attend Columbia University and Harvard law school.

Maybe Don Lemon could discover how Obama graduated from Columbia when NOBODY can be found who remembers attending a class with him. Or how he became editor of the Harvard Law Review without ever writing an article. Or how he had a professorship waiting for him at the University of Chicago when he graduated.

Funny, Most of the indicted were Democrat donors, some of them significant donors. These people hate Trump.

This is the weirdest scandal in a long time. Hundreds of thousands of dollars paid to get offspring into what I must admit are pretty good schools. If you have Hollywood money, why not send them to State U if they can’t get into USC or Stanford? What is gained?

This is just people looking for ways to be dishonest. Meanwhile, one of these kids has 2M subs on Youtube. She can make more money showing teenage girls how to put on their makeup than in any other plausible career. We live in Clown World. Middle class, just kill yourselves with prescription drugs and illegal opioids; elites, make a $500k bribe to get your kid into a slightly better school. I don’t see that setup as sustainable. The French Revolution makes a lot more sense than it used to. I’m not saying they should’ve done it, but I understand.

Bragging rights. If you look at the social media accounts of some of the people involved, they present themselves as having perfect, "curated" lives. Everything from decor to food to clothing to personal appearances to their marriages has to be perfect. And if they have to say that their child is going to some state college rather than a more prestigious one they lose face with their friends, and they feel they failed as parents, and their lives aren't perfect.
