That isn't actually true; there are about 1.1 million guns in civilian hands in NZ. But they're heavily regulated, gun owners are licensed, and guns like AR-15s and all handguns are registered.
AOC needs to answer why those laws didn't prevent this attack, and why more laws like the ones that already proved ineffective are the answer.
