A Muslim physician who said she “moves around” in the Muslim world refuted the mainstream media’s narrative on Saturday that POTUS Donald Trump’s rhetoric was somehow responsible for the terrorist attack in New Zealand.
Qanta Ahmed, a doctor and an associate professor of medicine at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, appeared on CNN and was asked to respond to a video played by host Fredericka Whitfield of the president on Friday using the word “invasion” in connection with the issue of illegal immigration on the southern border.
The word was also used in a manifesto written by the alleged New Zealand attacker, Brenton Tarrant, to describe Muslims streaming into Europe. Trump was also mentioned in the document.
Though admitting the word choice was “poor” and the timing “much worse,” Ahmed told Whitfield she needed to look at the bigger picture.

Some are more equal than others
The use of the term “invasion” to describe millions of people swarming across the border is far more apt than the left’s use of the phrase “the war on women” to describe a minor tightening of abortion laws, or any criticism of Hillary Clinton. Moreover, most of the people swarming across our border illegally are not Muslims, but Roman Catholic Hispanics.
Aside from the “Trump used a poor choice of words” and “rise in White nationalism worldwide” tripe, she actually makes some sense.
I’d like to believe it, but I am very skeptical.
“White nationalism” will continue to increase as long as the elites flood formerly (mostly) white countries with immigrants and say, “Ha ha - we will make you a minority in your own country!!! Shut up, white man! Die, white man! We will destroy the evil of “whiteness”!!!

I was in Jordan last year and talked to several people whose view on Trump and Obama is summed up precisely by your statement.
The Muslim world should be happy Trump is in office. His philosophy tends toward business instead of war and he’s the most non-interventionist president we’ve had in a long time. He wants the U.S. out of the middle east and the troops home. It was Bush II and Obama that were responsible for expanding our presence in the middle east, not Trump.
If the Islamic world would step back and look at the big picture they’d see that Trump is the best deal that they’ve had in a long time, but they’re not going to do that.
They planting the seeds of their own destruction.
