Suppose the Democratic nominee for president in 2020 would say this: “Israel must be completely be destroyed. And every Israeli must die.”
Then the average American Jew would say this: “You’re a Democrat. So you’ve got my vote!”
Worked with a couple Israeli emigres at different times years back and they could not be more different than liberal American jews I have been around and read about.
#2. Not any more. The Democrats have made more mistakes in treating Jewish voters like “dhimmis” and have taken them for granted.
I suspect the next election is going to hold some very great surprises for the Marxocrats.
* Omer, Tlaib, Ocasio-Cortez, the nut from Oregon - all minority groups but all anti-Israel. It has not gone unnoticed by Jewish voters in those states.
*Sanders, Gillibrand, O’Rourke , Gillum, Pelosi, Warren, etc. All anti-Israel. Not unnoticed by Jewish voters.
* Trump recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Recognizing Israel’s vested security interest in controlling the Golan Heights. Trump going to the attacked synagogue in Pittsburgh and having a very sincere talk with its rabbi. Not unnoticed.
* Trump helping to destroy ISIS when Obama did nothing to stop them. Not unnoticed
* Trump fighting ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorist and guerrilla forces in central Africa (Mali/Nigeria/Niger/Chad etc TOOps), Somalia - tearing up the leadership of Al Shabaab with devastating air strikes; helping destroy Houthi and Iranian operations/Al Qaeda/ISIS in Yemen with air strikes; and generally supporting Egypt in its bloody fight with Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula/Sinai/Saudi Arabia. VERY NOTICED.
* US helping the Philippines fight both a Moslem insurgency and a communist insurgency there.
* US standing up to and condemning the anti-Semitism at and of the United Nations. VERY NOTICED. A John Bolton/Nikki Haley joint legacy that had its precedence under Pres. Reagan with his ambassadors Jeanne Kirkpatrick and Charles (Charlie to his friends, I was one of them) Lichtenstein.
It is time for us Jews to remind our fellow foolish liberal Jewish brethren that Pres. Trump is a “FRIEND” of ours and of Israel (that is a foreign policy decision for the good of the US) unlike Obama who insulted Netanyahu on a regular basis instead of treating him with respect as a country’s leader.
