Sweden needs more migrants to keep its vast welfare state afloat despite the high unemployment rate for foreigners, according to the country’s Public Employment Service Director General Mikael Sjöberg.
Mr Sjöberg, along with labour market analyst Torbjörn Israelsson, argues that the increase in the country’s elder population in coming decades could lead to a collapse of the welfare state without added migration, Nyheter Idag reports.
The pair, do, however, acknowledge the huge disparity between the employment rate of native-born Swedes and foreign-born residents which was highlighted in a report last year that showed natives to have a low 3.6 per cent unemployment rate while the rate for foreigners was 19.9 per cent.
The unemployment difference is also clearly seen in the heavily migrant-populated city of Malmö where the unemployment rate is double the national average.
Sjöberg and Israelsson singled out foreign-born women for improvement, and they believe focusing on them could raise the overall unemployment rate among migrants in the country.
Another option considered was the idea that older workers could retire later, which could also add significant tax revenue.
In December 2017, the government proposed raising the retirement age to pay for the costs of the mass movement of people into Sweden during the height of the migrant crisis.
Swedish Socialist party finance minister Magdalena Andersson announced the proposal saying, “Looking at those who start working at 30, there should be opportunities to work longer than 65.”
In order to keep the welfare system afloat, the two authors say that Sweden needs at least 60,000 net migrants per year.

Well, that will only work as long as the ‘migrants’ don’t go on welfare. That’s one reason it doesn’t ‘work’ here. We are spending far more on them than they are putting into the system via ‘taxes on their work’. And when will this Government stop making Fed payouts to people who DON’T PAY FED TAXES???
If you expect new migrants to help keep the economy functioning, then you are importing the wrong kind of migrants. This still is not clear to you in Sweden?
I think all of those smart and practical Swedes have been shouted down by all those emotional and impulsive Swedes.
All this proves is that the Swedish Employment Service is now in the hands of muslims, doing their part in collapsing the system with the unabated flood of mudslimes.

Basically the same reason why in my country, they wanted the migrants to settle the Maritimes in particular (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island) as too many young people who grew up in those provinces over the last generation or so simply went to university or community college and then did not look back as they saw more jobs and opportunities in Ontario or Saskatchewan or Alberta or BC.
They want the migrants to prop up the high taxes and big government presence in that region that took away the jobs for many of the native born and bred Maritimers, but many of them are apparently illiterate in Arabic (let alone trying to teach them English), so this really does not look promising as a solution.
The idea that African/M.E. muslim immigrants “prop up” the welfare state is a joke.
They take from it. They are imported merely to support the political structure of the welfare state.

Brilliant!!! Import more anti-social, illiterate, hate-filled, barbarians!! They will not work. They are not capable of working. But, they will cause enormous amounts of money to be spent on welfare, healthcare, police, courts, jails, damaged infrastructure, and, of course, especially, they will completely ripe up the social fabric of the country.
So, obviously, the importation of more barbarians will only cause great damage to their country. How about telling us the real reason to do this? Eh?

I’ve suspected all along that the idiots in charge realized that the welfare state needed more workers to support it-= and they thought they would get it from ‘migrants’.
But the migrants thought they would come and go ON welfare and never have to work.
The only way to solve this is mass casualties. Which was never even imagined 20 years ago- now it is actually talked about.
Even the movies showed it (Thor- where half the universe’s population is made to disappear) as a ‘fair’ solution. And where he’s done it there is paradise where there used to be starvation.

Send the migrants home, that will lower the costs of the welfare state considerably! Then think about slowly abolishing the welfare state, so that eventually only those who are truly unable to care for themselves will receive help.
