Liberals pushing Green New Deal have no idea what it would cost

The Green New Deal would come at a hefty cost - but figuring out how much is proving to be an impossible task for the bean-counters.

The American Action Forum, a right-leaning think tank run by a former Congressional Budget Office director, says the plan could run anywhere from $51 trillion to $93 trillion in costs to the government and private sector over a decade.

Liberal lawmakers who made the proposal laughed that off, with Sen. Edward J. Markey, Massachusetts Democrat, calling it “Big Oil misinformation.”

The problem is the backers don’t have any studies of their own, only promises that it won’t be so bad and warnings that doing nothing is worse.

The plan currently is enshrined in a 14-page resolution calling for a major overhaul of the U.S. economy, discouraging the use of fossil fuels and mandating energy efficiency repairs to existing buildings, as well as an expansion of the government’s safety net, including a jobs guarantee and housing for all. The plan does not say how those goals would be achieved.

I'm still wondering about the pricetag for eliminating all of the dogs and cats first.

Only twelve years to go - startinggggg now!

Nor do they care. All that matters is power and control with them as the rulers of the world.

No the REAL problem is that these studies consistently low ball the estimates of government programs. Usually by 50% or more.

Then there is the historical record of what happens when a government designs an economy. Universal poverty on the upside and universal starvation on the downside.

They need to choose a city, (preferably blue) and get their donors to contribute to this. If they want government funding, the rats will have to sacrifice all other infrastructure funding for blue states. Once the project is complete, it will have to run for three years without any deficits or tax hikes.

Let’s start with Newark, NJ. It experiences all seasons, has a diverse population and is close to Manhattan. One thing I don’t think is mentioned in the green new deal is how will trucks and tractor trailers running on gas enter the city?

One thing to understand is that solar panels do work

I’ve been installing them since 1990

And now they’re pretty cheap you can get a whole solar system for under five grand and get rid of your electric bill forever or live off the grid

This ain’t liberal poppycock

this isn’t some green fantasy

this is reality Crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules have no breakdown mechanism and they have been in outer space working consistently since the early 1960s

There is no other technology on planet earth that produces electricity without any moving parts

Whenever one mentions C02 as anything but essential in discussion of the Globull Gloaming Climate Change Hoax, one has already failed to properly argue. During some of the last several Ice Ages C02 levels fell to alarming low levels. We need to return to real science, real history. C02 is not dangerous, and certainly NOT pollution. C02 is PLANT FOOD. If there is not enough C02, plant life will struggle, and and, by the way, so will every other kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus, and species.

One of my methods to talk to the young skulls full of mush is to point out that not very long ago New York city was under a mile of ice, and some day the ice will return. There is nothing we can do except what we always do, adapt. If anyone is still listening I also mention that we have only drilled a few short miles into the Earth. Who knows just how much oil and natural gas lie beneath the surface of the Earth. There are oceans of hydrocarbons on the moons of Jupiter and Saturn. I sincerely doubt that ancient dinosaurs and savannahs morphed into hydrocarbons on these moons. We may never run out of hydrocarbons.
