'Environmental Crusader' Arnold Schwarzenegger Warns: 'Fossil Fuels Will Kill Us'—after Arriving in a Suburban SUV

Former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-Calif.) warned young people that “fossil fuels will kill us” if the U.S. doesn’t switch to renewable energy. The Terminator actor said millions of people die each year because of pollution.

“So, therefore, it’s very important for you to get involved to fight and to get rid of fossil fuels because fossil fuels will kill us and fossil fuels will create global climate change. Now I’ve studied this issue very well. It’s another issue I didn’t know much about when I became governor but then when I listened to the studies and to the scientists I became 100 percent supportive of it,” Schwarzenegger said during a discussion on gerrymandering at the National Press Club on Tuesday with former Attorney General Eric Holder.

No, really. And like the nissan whatever---ZERO EMISSIONS. “get involved to fight”

Actually, the only way to do it would be for them to become physicists or engineers.

Petroleum contains a huge amount of stored energy. There is nothing else like it. It’s free for the taking. You pay just the cost for recovery, refining and distribution, plus taxes. It’s still cheaper than solar or wind power.

There is not enough room for solar collectors or windmills that would replace the power obtained from petroleum.

No way around it, dummkopf!

I understand he has some serious experience with “bio-chemistry,” but I won’t take him seriously as a climate scientist.

"There is not enough room for solar collectors or windmills that would replace the power obtained from petroleum."

Nope. The entire US energy usage (ALL forms, not just electricity) can be supplied by an area of solar cells 100 x 100 miles, which is an unnoticeable dot on the land area of the US. The problems are elsewhere (transmission and storage).
