15,000+ People Tell NC State University to CLOSE Satanic Club on Campus
TFP ^ | 03-29-19 | TFP Student Action

Posted on 03/29/2019 3:05:02 PM PDT by concernedAmerican1

Under the title of Satanic Students at North Carolina State, the club holds weekly meetings on campus "where newcomers can learn about Satanism."

The club is listed by the university as something normal. But Satanism is destructive, not normal. And you and I must not sit idle and allow the forces of darkness to destroy our One Nation Under God.

The more God and His holy Law are pushed aside and ridiculed, the more Satan gains ground to deceive and ensnare souls in his dark web of sacrilege and blasphemy.

St. John defines who the devil really is: "He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks in character, because he is a liar and the father of lies" (John 8:44).

Stand with those who love God.

I support the petition. I wish it was completely separate from the TFP Student Group. At the bottom of petition, it says, “by signing this petition, you are agreeing to receive newsletters from TFP.”

I get that you can unsubscribe at anytime, but many online cites will continue to find some method to keep using your personal email. Maybe in a few weeks, this will have changed.

All right, folks. A question: you complain about YOUR 1st Amendment rights, no? What about THEIR 1st Amendment rights? I believe it is for ALL citizens, or none. Your choice.

No, No, No. Let's not get into the business that the Progressive Left founded. No to banning ideas on college campuses. No matter how reprehensible you may believe them to be. Ideas that everyone agree on need no protection. It's the ideas that matter that are almost always on the fringe. Colleges should be the places where such ideas are either accepted or rejected by society on the basis of their merit after rigorous debate. The only way to truly kill an idea is to expose it to the light of day and watch and see if it shrivels or thrives. The alternative is the gun or the sword.

There can be no “Satan” if there is no God, and God certainly exceeds this devil’s faculties. So, what’s to “learn”?

First Amendment. And its a public university. So you are going to have trouble shutting this down.

I’d rather have them than some academic departments.

The true first amendment test will be when Christians offer their critiques of satanism, which they have a right before God to do, although they may suffer as a consequence.

I may be mistaken, but I believe these “satanism” observations are among the more bowdlerized ways that the devil can be approached. The devil typically doesn’t come around as in satanic ceremonies, a hunky male figure in red tights with horns and a pointy tail and a pitchfork. He comes around as the answer to our fondest short sighted wishes. They aren’t even honest about the devil.

They might not be. It’s the named affiliation that is causing the scandal here.

Dear pik,

IF they are American citizens, yes they do!
What Constitutional right do YOU have to say ‘no’?
I served 10 years in the military of this great nation, 3 of them in SEAsia, the rest during The Cold War, therefore, I EARNED my right to say they do!

BTW, just quoting bible verses to me, in this discussion, do not have the weight Constitutional arguments do.

dewar con,

re: “The true first amendment test will be when Christians offer their critiques of satanism, which they have a right before God to do, although they may suffer as a consequence.”

Y’all have had that happening ever since the so-called pentecostal revival in the 1920’s, and what has it done? You have HAD apologetics published since before I was born, and what has it done? You have had C.S.Lewis’ Screwtape writings, and what has it done? Truth is, y’all ain’t winning, as you think!

Shucks, there is even that ol’ dead and gone bishop from NYC still being played on YOUTUBE, and what has it done?

I believe in the Jeffersonian relationship of Deity and man, with all that a man does, is between him and his god, and nobody else’s business.

dear Lee,

“And the man gets the cupie doll!!” good work.

Colleges USED TO BE (when i went to them), the arenas of ideas, that were examined by both critical thinking and logic. These days, THOSE two things are sorely lacking, and the invention of “the mantra of the day” has become “the norm”.

Dear con,

What is to learn is that, A., some deity, instead of “the TV-babysitter-educator-indoctrinator” is curious about you, versus when the parents did try to teach kids about Xianity. (yes, idi that on purpose).

And B., after seeing all that ‘stuff’ on TV and the movies, where Xianity is hokey, bumblebrained, and just plain dishonest, they are going to look for something more solid, and if it sounds right in their ears, they are gonna go. Besides, it is still unchecked youthful rebellion, with too many awards and not enough foots-on-the-necks to give them something to think about.
