Those of us who live in Flyover Country have a lot of ignorant preconceptions about our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in Hollywood. Such as: They're a bunch of self-important clowns who really hate unborn babies. Where in the world would we get a silly idea like that?
Here's Rodney Ho, Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
"More than 40 Hollywood celebrities signed a letter sent to the Georgia House Speaker David Ralston and Georgia governor Brian Kemp Thursday morning saying they will push TV and film production companies to abandon Georgia if the heartbeat abortion bill is signed into law.
Among those who signed the letter: Alec Baldwin, Amy Schumer, Gabrielle Union, Rosie ODonnell, Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman, Essence Atkins, Uzo Aduba, Christina Applegate, Ben Stiller, Sean Penn, Atlanta native David Cross, Don Cheadle, Mia Farrow, Colin Hanks, Bradley Whitford and Amber Tamblyn... The letter opens by complimenting the state as being hospitable with friendly and caring people and hotels and restaurants that are comfortable and of high quality.
You know the one thing all those actors have in common? None of them were aborted.
How's that for chutzpah? A bunch of Hollywood big shots move their production facilities to another state that gives them generous tax incentives, and then they start pushing around the locals. They swoop in, make their big dumb superhero movies and such, and then start pontificating about which laws their benefactors should pass. They're just carpetbaggers with more expensive luggage.
And these actors make sure to be as condescending about it as possible: "But hey, don't get us wrong... you ignorant backwoods rubes sure do run some nice hotels!"
If you don't like it, go back to California, you arrogant, privileged A-holes. Then you can kill all the babies you want.
See ya !!!
Wheat from the chaff....
.....make a list
Liberals should all agree that all pregnancies in their families will be terminated by abortion.
I’m sure GA won’t miss them one bit.
From Georgia to Hollywood: Walk.
This has already passed the state legislator as of yesterday. Next stop is the governors desk and Kemp has already said he will sign it. Now if they would just pass the Religious Freedom bill I would be fine.
That Schumer pig is pregnant right now..I would say boycott but I do not go to or watch anything with these losers in it..Go back to hell you demons that is where you will end back up when the devil calls you back..
Like so many “economic development” programs, the Georgia film subsidy probably costs the state far more than it gets in return. Georgia taxpayers will thank you for leaving.
UNPLANNED a box office hit because millions go to see it would be the appropriate response
what is UNPLANNED you ask?
Liberals...
Ruin...
Everything...
From this Georgian to Hollywood.
See Ya and STFO
We don’t wont you here either.
Start goose stepping and don’t come back you murdering POS!
Call their bluff. Tell them go to hell.
I can't imagine who stepped up to that chore.
Screw Hollywood!!!
As a Georgia resident and one that lives near a town that has been used for years by the film and tv industry, I got two words for the celebs.......See Ya!!!
Take your liberal bullsh*t with you and don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. They get rewarded by the taxpayer to film their crap. They brag about all the money they bring in. Being in Georgia, a Right to Work state, they aren’t forced to pay the union wages of NYC and LA. But I doubt they’d ever admit that. Well, research has shown that that really isn’t the case. They don’t really generate all that much money for the locals.
Sure, they have to pay for permits to shut down streets and maybe pay for some off-duty cops, but other than that, the money they spend is limited. A catering company will make some money and good for them. But, most of the workers are from out of town. The stars stay in homes or hotels in Atlanta.
So, at the end of the day, it’s not the cash windfall that they promise. A handful of businesses make out and very good for them. I hope they get all get paid very handsomely. But the big sporting events don’t even garner that much enthusiasm anymore. Case in point, New Orleans was the only city to bid on the 2024 Super Bowl.
