Molon Labe is reportedly the response given to the Persian king Xerxes by the Spartan king Leonidas when Xerxes demanded that the Greek force lay down their weapons. It is generally translated as, Come and get them.
There are consequences to everything we do in life. Regardless of whether the action is that of an individual or a group, something will happen.
Recent unsubtle threats by Democrats (specifically Speaker Nancy Pelosi) have woke many from silence. States actively legislating to confiscate firearms should startle anyone with even a passing familiarity with history. That the Speaker of the House threatened to abuse power to abrogate elements of the Constitution to which she has sworn a sacred oath is frankly bat shit crazy.

In Texas we say, Come and take it.
Another government tried it and failed.
Nancy is welcome to try it too.
Maybe, and liberals who also own guns should take note, maybe we should be more practical, and just stop putting into office the human filth that wants to erase the Constitution? That would be much easier, and doable.
I prefer the response of “Nuts!” .

The “reality” is that it only takes a very few people to defend their rights to the death, and the “government” begins to collapse. And I know people, older, retired, without children, who are ready to take that step if it ever comes down to it.
Alexander Solzhenitsyn discussed this in his book, “what would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?”
Patriots are very slow and long on the fuse, offering every opportunity to retract the offense prior to irrevocable actions. The retrogessives (back to the Bolsheviks era) need to study Americans in history and beware. Civil war incorporates urban warfare intentionally taking out family members of the offenders to draw them into ambushes, for example. Never, ever should anyone want to go there or cause either side to fire the first shot. Read history. Please stop now.
one thing I notice around here is the lack of conservative bumper stickers.
A few, not many. I at first thought that it was concerns aobut getting the car keyed by a promoter of diverstiy and inclusivieness.
But now I see that it is more a flying under the radar. There is a lot more conservative support, a fair amount from unexpected sources. I am aware of homosexuals and even transgenders who support Trump. They are in their 20s and they are hard working people who see where politics is going. They just want to be left alone and to be able to keep their money.
I agree. Americans of past generations were willing to take a hill or die trying. It would be interesting to see the number in this generation that would be willing to do that. It appears to me that many would like the hill being taken as long as someone else does it.
A dem majority in any body will always move to take away 2A rights. Look no further than CA.

As I’ve noted before, they’re just waiting for enough of us to sit out an election, out of ‘principle’, because so-and-so is a RINO, and we’re going to ‘teach the Republicans a lesson’ for running people like that.
And they know enough not to ‘come and get them’. They’ll just slowly make it more expensive, more of a hassle, and riskier to own guns...until gun owners are such a small number that they won’t have to worry anymore about their votes. At that point, they’ll deal with the holdouts in more ‘direct’ ways.
More Expensive: Taxes on firearms and ammo, law suits against companies which gets passed right on to owners, etc.
More of a Hassle: Licensing to own guns, registration, tracking ammo sales, etc.
Riskier: No-warrant searches to assure guns are properly ‘stored’, weird rules on stocks, mags, etc.
But don’t worry, no Democrat could EVER be as bad as a typical RINO, so keep ‘teaching those Republicans a lesson!’...and when you succeed, you’ll find yourself as a gun owner in some very small company.
Well, it would have to work with only "a very few people", because I've seen the level of resolve in today's American, and it ain't worth spit. And if our Constitutional Rights begin to collapse on a state-by-state level, forget it. It's done.
Our system is very fragile currently. Cesspools of political dung like kalifornia, colorado, wash state, orygone, already have openly violated federal law by legalizing dope. And the feds do nothing.
I can foresee a time when, if those states enact a total prohibition on privately owned firearms, the feds will do what they do best: nothing.
You and I understand the importance of commitment. Today's generation can't even hold down a job.
That quote lives on my profile page, has been there more than a decade.
I agree that comfort and convenience, as well as a desire to protect their families from the consequences of defying the tyrants will cause many many to knuckle under. However I am encouraged by the low compliance on turning in "high capacity" magazines, and registering "assault rifles" in repressive states.
If, god forbid, it comes to a shooting war between us and them, casualties on both sides will be horrific. A new nation may emerge, but the nation as we know it will be gone. However, it might just be possible for freedom to survive.
THE WRATH OF THE AWAKENED SAXON
by Rudyard Kipling
It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.
They were not easily moved,
They were icy — willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.
Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.
It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.
It was not suddently bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.
Plus, he thought he needed a passport to go from the mainland to Hawaii.
If govt ever outlaws firearms, I think it'll be after you and I are gone. And I don't see any potential for resistance after that.
Besides, with everything we've discovered about modern public education, viz. turning our children into good little Nazis, future generations just might applaud totalitarianism. Most Germans did.
