Omar posted a photo of herself meeting with pro-Muslim Brotherhood campaigners and retweeted an Al Jazeera video that calls for Abdelmonem’s release.
“We must work to #FreeHoda,” she tweeted.
The Muslim Brotherhood is classified as a terrorist organization in many countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Russia and Egypt. Republicans have long lobbied Congress to classify the group as a terrorist organization in the United States, too.
I’m just waiting to see if she actually survives her initial term.
She’ll be re-elected.

The Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization in Egypt, amongst other nations. We shouldn't be calling for the release of terrorists. And while it may not be "we", it is a member of the powerful House Foreign Affairs Committee. I know it's Islamaphobic, but those in office from both parties should criticize he aberrant position. Or agree with her. Silence denoting agreement. Especially among leadership.
