So Russia fake news can’t be true, or else this whole affair is just a puffed-up fake story of the ninth-degree.

Intelligence agencies do not knowingly collect and analyze unverifiable information. The Russians would not have assembled unverified information on Trump as a possible intelligence target. They would have verified and incorporated proof into their internal reports.
Neither, they were and still are pro Bernie.
I think what the Russians wanted was chaos and Americans at each others’ throats, more than any particular winner. Although Neocon Hillary, that lap dancer for Henry the K would have been less pleasant for them than a no nonsense businessman like Trump.
