The announcement Saturday that Oliver North is stepping down as president of the National Rifle Association following news that the New York attorney general is investigating the groups tax-exempt status has sparked overwrought media speculation that the NRA is in danger of shutting down.

Well, the NRA is actually fueling this rumor in a bid get more donations. While the danger is real, I don’t think NY has a prayer of shutting down America’a oldest civil rights organization.
The only LEGAL threat to the 2A is a Constitutional Amendment.
The illegal threats from the Left must be met with greater will and force from those who love our Free Constitutional Republic. Whatever it take to recover our free America.
When the ballot box fails to preserve our God-given natural rights; there are other boxes that can be opened.
The NRA is not relevant to my 2nd Amendment rights.
I’ve never been a member, and I never will be.
With the out-of-control tyranny of the $4 trillion mostly unconstitutional federal government, you can never have too many guns...
They need to update their stats.
See, I’ve always argued we should be more like Asia and Africa, shining examples of freedom and sustainability.
How much does Wayne LaPierre make a year? AND was the $200,000 on wardrobe in addition to his salary?
This squabble within the organization looks a little unseemly, but it's not the end of anyone's rights. But I'm sure every libtard gun grabber out there is cheering on this dopey AG, hoping this is the end of those awful, nasty guns?
The NRA offers some low cost training programs from what I have read, but my right to protect me and mine does not evolve from the Second Amendment nor does it hinge upon the existence of the NRA.
I can't recall if the NRA (the organization vs. its members) officially endorse. The perception is that they do, but it might be just its membership which would clearly oppose Dem gun grabbers.
I think we need to kick out New York...
Why not re-charter the NRA in a solid-red state?
Only Democrats get to be tax-exempt.
1million in salary . Dont count his huge expense account.
What was the squabble between North and LaPierre (sp)?
