Adam Sandler Brings Opera Man Back To ‘SNL,’ Takes Aim At 2020 Dems
Daily Caller ^ | 05/05/2019 | Virginia Kruta

After addressing a few of the other stories of the day — from “Game of Thrones” to the Kentucky Derby — Opera Man turned to politics.

“Kamala, Gillibrand, Klobuchar, Warren,” he sang. “They have slim chance-o, they no wear pants-o.”

“Cory, Pete and Beto, will have to wait-o … here we go again! 70-year-old men,” he ended with an image showing Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Vice President Joe Biden.

He then focused in on Biden and recent complaints about him respecting peoples’ personal space, singing, “gropa, gropa, sniffa, sniffa, young or old-a, makes no diffa.”

The actor and comedian didn’t stop with the Democrats — he did take a few shots at the Trump administration as well.

He did make fun of Trump and Barr as well, but is this a signal that it's OK to make fun of Dems on late night media?

I heard he’s actually a freakin REPUBLICAN..!

He better stay realllly quiet about that in Hollywood, though, or I think some people will get really up$et.

There are few Republicans, Libertarians and conservatives that came from the SNL cast.

I saw it a while back but it is like 6 or 7 of them.

GWB is a “republican” and Nicolle Wallace was supposed to be one.

Believe it or not, there was a "golden age" of SNL and I'm not talking about the early days of the original cast members (i.e. Belushi, Aykroyd) which in my opinion was uneven and overrated.

No, these were the days of Dennis Miller, Jon Lovitz, Adam Sandler, Victoria Jackson, Norm MacDonald (and I'm sure I'm missing a couple others), all of whom are conservatives.

Roughly from the mid 1980s to mid 1990s, those were the best SNL years in my opinion.

Wait what? He broke the rule of denigrating members of the protected party? Wow. What’s he going to do now that he no longer has a career?

Here is a list of all the Republicans, conservatives and libertarians that confessed it. Probably why there are no longer on the SNL cast even though they were all well liked.

Adam Sandler
Rob Schneider
John Lovitz
David Spade
Robert Downey Jr (converted after prison and plays Ironman)
Colin Quinn
Victory Jackson
Dennis Miller
Joe Piscopo
G.E. Smith (lead guitarest on SNL band)

Sandler has a $100,000,000 contract with Netflix.

His career is set in stone.

Phil Hartman was always my favorite. His Frank Sinatra is simply hilarious.

100 MILLION?? Holi daaaamn, that is unreal. This is the same Netflix that honors Barack and Michael Obama and recently made a documentary about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez? Can they break that contract with Sandler if they find out he could be Republican?

I thought Adam Sandler’s “Sandy Wexler” on Netflix was pretty funny.

Waaay better than that thin where he played some time-taveling shoe repair guy.

He committed a bigger sin than that. He is not the world’s greatest comedian, but he is somewhat funny , while Seth Meyers, Colbert, etc. are just ranting endlessly.

Saw a link to his opening. Was funny.

“Adam Sandler ties Dan Aykroyd’s record of the longest gap between being a cast member and returning to host the show. The gap for both actors stands at nine days shy of 24 years. Both actors made guest appearances on the show during the time period after leaving the cast and before returning to host.”

Yes. It’s now been officially approved by The Peoples Commissariat For Comedy And The Popular Culture(aka the Hollywood elites) to poke fun at Democrats because the Russia Collusion gambit has turned out to be a hoax.

G.E. Smith was Gilda Radner’s 1st husband. They were married two years. He was also the lead guitarist for “Hall and Oates.”

I also liked Chris Farley & Phil Hartman from that general era.

I’ve seen one Dylan show that was really, really good, and 2-3 that were just awful. As it happens, his band leader for the good show was G.E. Smith.

Yeah. Remember Nora Dunn? She had the courage to protest the appearance of the awful Andrew Dice Clay and that was the end of her career.
