The "Trump obstructed justice" theory for impeachment has been completely vitiated by the fact that the entire investigation was deeply tainted (to say the least) from its inception. That is, Trump could hardly be said to have "obstructed justice" when the FBI wasn't acting within the lawful scope of its duties. It's like the charge of resisting a peace officer. If said officer wasn't acting within the scope of his or her duties as a peace officer, then any resistance to their unlawful actions would have to be charged under a different legal theory, at least, or maybe even such resistance would be found justifiable, even laudable.

That's the situation here. It's clear that elements in the FBI and the CIA were trying to undermine Trump's campaign and maybe even were attempting a coup. Since that's hardly lawful pursuit of their duties, there's no "justice" that could possibly be "obstructed." In fact, Trump is looking increasingly like an American hero for the history books. He stared down gross state overreach, maybe even prevented a coup.

If the Rats were smart they'd stop now. Good thing they're not smart. I hope they try to impeach him. Then we'll have them by the shorts.
