D-Day is so hard on the Democrats in America and a truly wonderful day for the rest of the country. They have to pretend they like the military even though they hate them for the crime of defending America, but they cannot attack the obvious heroes of the world. So like always they attack Trump with some other petty attack to alleviate the pain of supporting America.

To imagine these young boys gave their lives racing into a killing field of machine gun fire with some of the first wave receiving over 85% casualty rates. In the first groups when those ramps dropped the machine guns trained on the men inside and they were mowed down like a Kansas corn field. The insides of those landing craft were a slaughter house as the bullets came in at 450 rounds per minute focused inside the walls of the boat. Still they kept coming as later boats had men jumping over the sides as they saw what was happening only to drown from the ammo laden packs, but some made it to shore where the real killing machines were waiting.

D-Day may be the worst day of the year and the 75th Anniversary had to be hard on the America haters and their fellow mediots. They were hoping for the EU leaders to snub the President when he was actually received with open arms and you could see the Queen really enjoyed her time with him. You could see it was not faked as she knows more than anyone what a weak America means to the world. She welcomed him with open arms and acted like a school girl talking and giggling with a normal American President for a change who treated her with respect and dignity.

His speech at Normandy with the individual stories was one for the ages. It was measured and precise with a love for these men who are still left. They are pushing a hundred and nearly all of their comrades are in their graves. The story of the two brothers who survived D Day for their mother, although shot numerous times and a broken back while saving soldiers from the surf was what America is. The humility of these men who were left was as heroic as the original event. How many viewers can say they would have went into that machine gun nest knowing you had a 15% chance of surviving, yet they did for freedom back home.

His speech was given into a vacuum of strength and courage in the world; with an entire opposition using the full power of the state against him yet President Trump was flawless. He is the most articulate President of our lifetimes and certainly since Reagan, with an ability to own a stage with his love of our great country. These men know real from phony and he gave the real McCoy talking about the bravery and selflessness their generation possessed. These were young boys of 18-21 who volunteered to run onto that beach for America’s freedom. Not for a Super Bowl ring or a Hollywood contract, but for their farms and fields back home.

These men understood what the Minutemen of America’s Revolutionary war sacrificed and were not going to give that up for some crazy dictator in Germany. These boys heard the bloody stories of WWI and they were going to do their part to make sure that never happened again and did. They understood if they failed there would never be a Britain or America ever again and they waited for their names to be called to give their lives for that call.

So their sprinted onto that beach with the machine gun crossfire as well as the German cannons firing at point blank range for their distances killing thousands. On that day June 6, 1946 the heartbeats of freedom rang stronger than the war machine of a dictator trying to take over the world. These heroes made it across that 100 yards of sand and found some cover to begin fighting back. There was no stopping these young boys as they fought together for their friends and family back home. When they scaled the cliffs of Normandy and knocked out those cannon and machine gun bunkers they made their mark as America’s Greatest Generation.

Once they knocked out those guns and established a toe hold on the French coast the fighting was not over but the fate of the war was sealed. They fought their way to Paris in a month and went on to Berlin in some of the bloodiest fights in America’s histoir, but these boys could not be stopped and their heroism never faultered.

When asked what kept them going they over and over said they just wanted to go back home and have a family. They were not there for accolades and medals, they were there to make the world safe for their families and their families’ families and it is exactly what they did. They won the war to end all World Wars and nobody wants to face them again no matter how foolish the leader is.

President Trump captured their spirit the entire time he was in Europe. The pomp and ceremony was infectious as the world watched the two great allies continued a bond which has not broken. The somber tones at the hallowed ground was echoed in the speech acknowledging their heroics and sacrifice as many breathed their last breath of freedom for their families back home which was heard around the world. You could hear the words of Patton, Eisenhower, Bradley, Churchill and FDR in his speech echoing from the past.

Their voices are leaving us yet they cast a giant shadow across their Shining City as we remember the images of the struggles crossing that sacred beach. We feel the fear and hear their final cries to their mothers and fathers as they lie bleeding ten thousand miles from home as a young 18 year old and sit in awe of them. These boys represented all the soldiers, sailors and airmen who endured killing machines throughout the war and are a symbol for the sacrifice of a Generation who will not be repeated.

They make our sacrifices seem so minute in comparison. How do you compare stopping the most powerful countries in the world who want to enslave the entire planet to Global Warming? How do you even consider waiting for the ramp of a boat being dropped knowing the first five to ten rows will be killed vs homophobia or gender bias?

The good news is America still has these heroes blood running through its veins. Those cries on the Normandy beaches are still echoing and the sprint across the 100 yards of machine gun fire is still in its memory and their stories are being heard. Our fathers and grandfathers as boys fueled the Shining City on the Hill.

The group Forests for Oregon is recording their stories for future generations to remember America’s Greatest Generation as the latest one has been captured on You Tube so they will not be forgotten. Morning AB, All. As always, thank you AB for doing this thread so reliably and keeping the peace with gentle thread policing. Thank you Bray for weekly written wisdom, Thank you Rodguy for fishing tales and political perspectives from all angles, Thank all yon contributors for excellent commentary to flesh it all out.

Below are the words from my daily political diary. It is quite long so scroll on by if not interested. But do stay around and add your commentary and point of view to the thread.

KIRSTEN GILLIBRAND’S TOWN HALL

Why yes I did watch Mike Wallace sponsor Kirsten Gillibrand’s town hall aired on Fox news on Sunday 6/2/19.

Not that I have a life or anything.

I recalled that Gillibrand was the one who replaced Hillary Clinton as Senator from New York. Not that Hillary Clinton had any business being senator or anything.

But I digress.

As she ranted on and on I realized that this woman was the icon of a boring liberal.

First she went on and on about guns. She screamed that President Trump promised to make bump sticks illegal after the Vegas shooting. “HE WENT BACK ON HIS WORD,” Gillibrand screeched.

Indeed, as I realized, the world would be a better place without bump stocks.

Then she carried on like a banshee over the NRA, how they were out to destroy the world, how is they had their way babies would be given a gun at birth and told to use should another beat them at dodge ball.

Then she explained why she was once rated A by the NRA and now given an F-.

I won’t bore you with her pathetic justification.

She went on to call Trump names and blame him for everything because if you have no issues always express a hatred for Trump. Then blame him for the disappearance of the yellow-bellied rabbits of the fruited plains.

Something else she handled very well like the dishonest politico she is. Every time someone asked a question she did not want to answer she immediately changed the subject. For sure she didn’t want to speak affirmative to third-trimester abortion so she launched into the issue of women, their bodies, their shitheads who want them to have babies they don’t want or abort in back allies.

She never said babies should not be killed after birth, much less the last trimester.

At one point she launched into a screed about Fox news but Chris Wallace, to his credit because of late ole Chris has been acting like his liberal father, ole Mike….Chris reminded her that Fox was her host of the day and it was a bit impolite to go attacking them on their own forum.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, impressed me about the woman. She verified that Al Franken deserved to resign which is why she asked him to resign. When further queried as to why she didn’t demand Bill Clinton’s resignation during the Monica era what did she do?

OF COURSE! SHE CHANGED THE SUBJECT!

PRESIDENT TRUMP GOES TO ENGLAND

Been watching snippets of Trump’s trip to England and it’s been a nice visual. First, Melania looked perfectly lovely, scrumptious.

The Trumps visited various historical sites in London and it was fascinating to watch.

That London mayor, what an awful, awful person he is. Almost as bad as Kirsten Gillibrand.

Story here is that there will be many thousands of paid protestors to descend in protest on London tomorrow, the day after this writing.

We shall see if the British still have the class they used to have.

America’s first couple came bearing a silver and silk poppy brooch from Tiffany & Co. in a custom red leather White House jewelry box for her majesty, according to the White House. The queen’s husband received a personalized Air Force One jacket and a signed first edition autobiography of James Doolittle titled, “I Could Never Be So Lucky Again.”

Compare that to Obama's gift to the Queen: "While visiting the Queen, the Obama family gave her an iPod, prompting raised eyebrows from the British Press. The MP3 player came pre-loaded with photos from President Obama’s inauguration and audio files of the president’s speech as a senator to the 2004 Democratic National Convention and his 2009 inauguration address."

WONDERFUL AND HONEST PROFESSIONAL SPY CHRISTOPHER STEELE TO BE QUESTIONED

No one is quite sure if President Trump’s visit had anything to do with that. Steele is the fellow who started all this mess re Russian collusion and prostitutes peeing on the bed.

Former British spy Christopher Steele, the author of the anti-Trump dossier of salacious and unverified claims about the president’s ties to Russia, has agreed to be questioned by investigators from the United States, according to a report in Britain.

The Times (UK) cited sources close to Steele on Tuesday in reporting that the 54-year-old is set to be interviewed in London within weeks. The development comes as attention has returned to the dossier authored by Steele -- especially since its more sensational claims were not substantiated by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, whose report found no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 election.

The paper did not specifically say who Steele would be interviewed by.

PRESIDENT TRUMP’S MAGNIFICENT VISIT TO GREAT BRITAIN

Lord they carried on like nuts, the media, the protestors. And yet President Trump’s visit to England was a huge success. The paid protestors were nothing-burgers and the celebrations were classy and sophisticated. No Meghan Markle was nowhere to be seen but first, she just recently had a baby, and second, what has the world lost by her absence?

The First Lady was picture-perfect, outfitted with class and beauty. She was by her husband’s side on all public occasions, smiled and was polite.

The DDAY celebrations were wonderful, sometimes bringing me to tears of pride. And hey, that London Mayor, what a damn classy guy he is, huh?

America came to save Europe back in 1944 and save it we did.

Mayor Muslim Awful Guy can go to hell.

PARKLAND BRAVE SCHOOL RESOURCE SCOT PETERSON FACES ARREST FOR HIS BRAVERY

For 45 minutes this guy stood outside of the Stoneman Douglas High school and listened to those kids on the third floor were shot and killed in cold blood.

He was too scared to do that which a protective resource officer should have done, at least one with more than air between the legs. HE SHOULD HAVE RAN IN AND KILLED THE GUNMAN!!

It ain’t rocket science, folks.

I sob when I think of this guy doing nothing while those precious innocents got killed. And I thank God that somebody thinks he ought to pay a price.

Days after the February 14 massacre, footage surfaced of Peterson taking position near the 700 and 800 buildings at Stoneman Douglas High School, a spot he stayed at for more than 45 minutes. He was criticized by the Sheriff Scott Israel and others for not going in the nearby 1200 building when he heard gunshots.

In an arrest warrant affidavit, authorities say the gunman killed five students and one teacher and wounded three students and one teacher after Peterson arrived at the 1200 building, then moved 75 feet to another position.

It also says the gunman fired approximately 75 times after Peterson arrived.

The warrant says Peterson made a knowingly false statement to investigators by saying he only heard two or three shots when he arrived at the building.

WHAT ARE THOSE EXTRA CHARGES ON MY VISA?

….First question….I am occasionally teased to buy an item via Facebook, email or however. Like many, I might see something I like and I purchase.

I note when I get my bill, if charged to my Visa, that there is some kind of extra charge on it. The regular charge is on my bill, which I already knew to be the price including any shipping charges or taxes. But there is often, not always, another charge. It’s not a lot of money, one or two dollars. I’m thinking it’s some kind of overseas charge, maybe a tariff of which everybody speaks?

If anybody knows what it is, please let me know. Meanwhile I shall research.

….Pringles are nowhere near what we used to consider a potato chip. Despite, I’ve taken a liking to them due to their neatness and ease of storage.

Now they have WAVY PRINGLES!!

….I had a recipe that required a cup of feta cheese in the ingredients. Folks, don’t cook with feta cheese. Replace with mozzarella, cheddar….some other cheese. Because the feta gets all white, pasty and ugly. It looks like cottage cheese and I can’t imagine a dish of shrimp, rice and cottage cheese.

THE BACHELORETTE

…..Yes I think that the Bachelor(ette) series is a bit stupid. But I like to watch, to guess who is who, who is going to pick who, who shouldn’t pick who.

Maybe it’s a female thing.

But recently they had a show that had a group date where the guys were subject to….eh, giving birth?

I don’t know how they did it but each guy had to lie upon some kind of hospital gurney with an object placed upon his stomach. Somehow the guy would feel a jolt of pain, I know not how but it was not fake. It was, however, damn uncomfortable to watch.

I know that lots of women express a desire for a male to experience the pain of childbirth, although mostly meant in jest. I suspect that the guys feeling the pain are given some kind of electrical jolt. Their reaction to the pain was not faked, one could tell.

Still and so….I am not sure this is such a good idea. These guys are not experiencing the amazing joy of having a baby to hold after all the pain.

You can’t make this stuff up.

D-DAY MEMORIES AND PRESIDENT TRUMP GOES TO PRISON

I was very moved by the recent 75th DDay memorials. Old grainy black and white videos filmed some of the horror of that day. The thought of those young mostly drafted soldiers jumping into waist-high waters as the bullets of machine guns rained down upon them made me gasp.

Of course I know about Dday, we all do. Perhaps because it is the 75th anniversary of the event, but this year it seemed especially dramatic. Then again it could be that the current President did a wonderful job of visiting the continent that America saved.

But how about our beloved Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi? She thinks the president should be put in prison.

WHY?

What has happened to our country that our Speaker of the House should suggest the lawfully elected president should be imprisoned?

Please God, let these people act like classy people once in a while.

WEEKLY POLITICS BY PAT EDITORIAL

As I watched President Trump attending various ceremonies in England and France this past week a brilliant flash filled my head.

First of all, as time goes on, it is more and more being discovered that the entire Russian collusion investigation was begun and orchestrated by the Clintons.

Yes, President Obama probably knew about the grand scheme to prevent Trump from becoming president or, if he was elected, to remove him from office.

The will of the people be damned.

And it might be a bit mean but haven’t those people done enough damage? Not only are they trying to bring down the president, even with a lengthy and expensive investigation, they still won’t let the president govern.

So I smile as I ponder how angry Hillary Clinton has to be, watching Trump greet heads of governments, give passionate speeches, enjoy the glory of being President of the United States.

Heh.

Well the witch should have campaigned in those states she thought were not worth the bother, like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Florida.

She shouldn’t be paying the tab by wresting the duly elected head of our country per HER wishes.

So she watched the true winner enjoy the sunshine and I bet she’s drinking vodka by the gallon.

Nancy Pelosi, you bitter hag and my childhood acquaintance, you are as bitter and angry as life-long loser Hillary.

DEMOCRATS BEGGING TRUMP NOT TO SPEAK ON FOURTH OF JULY

There hasn’t been much talk about this but I saw it on Fox and Friends yesterday morning and I believe my ears and eyes.

Scuttlebutt has it that President Trump will speak at the National Mall on the 4th of July. I don’t know who the guest was by name by she was identified as a Democrat. It was then reported that the Democrats sent Trump a letter asking him not to speak, PLEASE do not speak.

“Did you hear his speech to the Boy Scouts?” she repeated several times. Well I don’t remember any speech to the boy scouts and I’m a political junkee. Not that I’m proud of that.

“The 4th of July is a day for celebration, fireworks and picnics,” the guest said.

What the hell, now they’re mad the President has the audacity to give a speech on the 4th of July.

I SAY PUT HIM IN PRISON!!!!

Keep an ear out for how these people make this into a big deal.

MEXICO TO TAKE MIGRANTS BACK TO THEIR HOME COUNTRY ITSELF.

President Trump is scheduled to smack a tariff on Mexico of 5%, effective this upcoming Monday.

Mexico is working hard to keep the immigrants from flooding our borders.

Because the Democrats don’t want the man to succeed at anything even if it means allowing an invasion of our country or banning the president from speaking on the 4th of July.

Trump is trying everything but this looks like it might work.

Mexico is allegedly sending soldiers to the border of Mexico and Guatamala to stop them from even entering Mexico. I am also hearing that Mexico is going to fly those back to their home countries if already en route.

The Democrats howled like banshees over the threat of the tariff and the Republicans have air between the legs so they kept quiet.

Folks, we need somebody out there to represent we, the people.

We don’t mind immigrants entering the country but goodness, can’t we at least make sure that they aren’t drug dealers, maybe get their names?

Trump will win this and in 2020, there will be far fewer elected Democrats and Republicans with air between the legs.

A huge tribute to a man who "doesn't have to take the crap he gets day after day accd. to Rush."

We move on to yet another presidential victory with Trump telling the Mexicon govt. and the cartels who run the govt. that unless they stop the caravans at Mexicos Southern border they will get penalized 5% a month up to 25% until they do. Since 80% of what mexico makes(excluding drugs) comes to us it got their attention.

Mexico can't live on drug money, tourism, and oil alone they need a few exports to pay all that graft and corruption to the cartel.So they stopped or are in the process of cleaning up their Southern border.

They already know if they try and back out of the deal that Trump will slap on the tariff.That's what happens when you have a real potus who puts America first.

I can enjoy a movie about a conscientious objector and have it be apolitical and it didn’t piss me off...Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge was stellar and a great WWII movie.

A video exists of two abortionist murderers playing with dead babies, God’s precious unborn, ...I have now seen everything.

Oberlin Communist College lost $2M in a lawsuit.

My president PDJT spun the dems and world order like one of those $500 precision tops in the Mexico deal.

PDJT kicked the Fed’s butt and made the PhDs there cry like babies.

Turning Point hosted like 1400 conservative women.

The U.K.has seen truth live, away from CNN international and tide is turning.

Podestas are still MIA, as is Epstein...awfully quiet in Jarrett-Obamaville, too.

Excellent and poignant summary of the heroism our president reminded today’s wannabe leaders of in their fake attempt to display an ounce of the reality of the fragility of life and freedom.

My dad was a Navy medic at Normandy on that day, he shared that it took 11 waves of amphibious vehicles before the breakthrough occurred. Even then the number of bodies in the water made it hard to perceive. His assignment was to determine who would be treated out of the wounded or who were beyond that point. A hard decision for a 19 year old that stayed with him throughout his 90 years on earth.

He passed before ever getting to see the rise of a real leader in Donald Trump and certainly would stand with him as he battles the new tyranny of the left and todays media.

RIP Dad your efforts were not in vein , a new leader with the vision of those you followed is here to save us
