Looks like Morning Joe was really shaken by the massive, enthusiastic, crowd that turned out for President Trump's campaign kick-off rally in Orlando last night. Scrambling for something to counter the wave, the show settled on comparing the President to an old, fat Elvis going through the motions with his shtick.
Scarborough said "This is Elvis in '77, just kind of lumbering across the stage, sweating." MSNBC's John Heilemann, sinking to a particularly ugly low, jumped in, seeing Trump "in Graceland, in front of like the six televisions, with a big, huge bottle of Quaaludes, and a bottle of vodka, and the shotgun."

Seeing that rally last night must have sent shockwaves thru every dem candidate. More people showed up for Trump yesterday than all the dem rallies in the last year combined.

Looks like Heilemann is unconsciously considering that, if Trump wins in 2020, he (Heilemann) will need vodka and Quaaludes by the bottle to soothe his pain and calm his nerves.

President Donald Trump raised a staggering $24.8 million in 24 hours on the day he officially announced he was running for re-election......Do the math: that’s more than a million dollars an hour for an entire day.
The campaign had set a $7 million goal for Trump’s kickoff rally day in order to top Democrat primary challengers record fundraising earlier in the year. Former Vice President Joe Biden made headlines for raising $6.3 million on his first day and Beto O’Rourke raised $6.1 million on his first day. Sen. Bernie Sanders brought $5.9 million.
The numbers were released by RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and Tim Murtaugh, the Director of Communications for Trump’s 2020 campaign.
“The enthusiasm across the country for this President is unmatched and unlike anything we’ve ever seen!” McDaniel wrote on Twitter.

IOW, a repeat of Election Night 2016. Colbert hosted a show to celebrate the coronation of Hillary, and the entire set went ape as the results came in. Heilemann was one of the guests on that show. I haven't laughed that hard since Sam Kinison passed away.
