To do what? Give press briefings? Sanders went months between press briefings; cancelling them altogether won’t be a loss. Help Trump with his message? Since when has Trump needed help with that? Help get his message out? Again, since when has Trump needed help with that? This is truly a position that could be done away with and nobody would notice.

I think she will have a lot less daily briefings than Sarah did. Trump doesn’t need briefings since he has questions and answers with the press many times a week.

Sarah stopped doing regular briefings. Yesterday was the first time they had a briefing in almost six months—and it was with the T Sect, not even Sarah.
Trump stops and holds a mini press conference almost every day. I’ve seen him alone with the press, informally, before he gets on his chopper, a lot more often than Obama or Bush. He is doing it a new and direct way.
My guess is Sarah asked to leave because she was becoming almost irrelevant and she wanted to do other things.
