The House Democrats lawsuit demanding the government turn over President Trumps tax returns has been assigned to a judge Mr. Trump appointed to the district court in Washington, D.C.
Judge Trevor N. McFadden will get first crack at the case, which could set the standard for how far Congresss investigative powers extend, and whether the administration has the ability to resist some requests.
Democrats say the Treasury Department is defying a legal subpoena and a request under the tax law, which gives the Ways and Means Committee chairman the right to demand to see any tax return.

I’m sensing a future win and Democrat hysteria!
Lovin’ it.
Well, we can only hope the Dummycraps wont bitch about bias because an obamatard-appointed judge, the same judge, keeps rejecting the border wall case over and over again. Time to return the favor.
Other judges already ruled that there is no legitimate reason to ask for his tax returns.
The Dems just can’t accept it.
Bump!
This is insanity. Trump should be able to decide whether or not to release his tax information and then voters can decide whether or not to vote for him. That is how it should work.
I have yet to meet one Trump voter who cares about his taxes.
Even if the public has a right to see a public servant’s tax returns, which I highly doubt, President Trump’s returns are for when he was a private citizen, correct?
Seems to me this falls under the 4th Amendment protection, among others.
How about this: show us obama’s school records and medical records, then we’ll see.
Amen!
There is no legislative reason for his taxes to revealed.
Neal is my Congress critter. Throughout this whole thing, have you seen him on any Sunday Talk show? The guy is a ghost. All he ever wanted was to be ambassador to Ireland. Aint gonna happen Richie.

Has the FBI sent the Judge’s IP Address Internet Search keywords and the list of visited Sites to Jabba the Nadless yet?
Apart from the oh-so-obvious continuing efforts to remove DJT from office for ANY DAMN REASON they can ‘trump-up’, this is all just another pile of bovine excrement.
How is ANYONE to believe these a$$clowns can do any better a job of ‘investigating’ DJT’s finances than has been done by the IRS, who have been so far up Trump’s financial behind for so many years, they can tell you how much loose change he had in pocket on June 12, 1982...
“How about this: show us obamas school records and medical records...”
Spot on.
Win or lose this is only the first rung of the ladder. The loser, be it Trump or Congress, will appeal.
I’m still holding out a sliver of hope that a Republican in the senate will demand to see papers relating to Zerobama’s history and education. Selective service, SS#, the whole gamut. If the house can get stupid in doggedly going after this president, surely someone on our side can go after the previous pres__ent. And if Zero hid his records with an executive order, Trump can undo it with an executive order of his own.
Except the law doesn't allow Congress access to school records or medical records on request. It does for tax returns.
Hopefully, but as twisted as it sounds, the dems may try to get the judge to recuse himself just because he was Trump appointed.
You nailed it my FRiend!
If in any way DJT over the years had cheated on taxes he would have been come down on hard.
This ridiculous show by the RATs is strictly for political one-upmanship.
No doubt about it, at least one appeal is a sure thing.
Hopefully, but as twisted as it sounds, the dems may try to get the judge to recuse himself just because he was Trump appointed.
Yep - but remember Chief Justice Roberts said, “We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges.” Therefore, the judge can use that rationale to decline to recuse.
Use his words and shove them down the Democrats’ throat.
