They hated it. They couldnt stand it. They still cannot stand that this man is president. So, when Trump concluded his Fourth of July address, CNN was there to pounce on it. The notorious anti-Trump network went into overdrive mocking the address because thats all they can do. Leading up to this event was a freak out over tanks being in the capital. Pure liberal idiocy was on display and that will have to be revisited soon (via Grabien News):
CNN mocks Trump's #4thofJuly speech: "It seems he is reading a Wikipedia page about historical events."

CNN's Philip Mudd on Trump's speech: "I hated it"

A panel discussion immediately following Trumps Independence Day remarks mocked the speech as the product of an eighth grade history that was too focused on the U.S. military.
CNNs John Kirby twice likened Trumps remarks eighth grade history, and his colleague, Ryan Lizza, likewise said the speech was a schoolhouse rock version of history or a seventh or 8th grade research report.
Sometimes it seems he is reading a Wikipedia page about historical events; on this date this happened, Lizza complained.
CNNs Phil Mudd said flatly: I hated it.
Let me be subtle here, at a professional level 25 years in national security, I hated it, Mudd said. At a personal level, I hated it more.
Wen we are in the midst of July 4th after 9/11 at the CIA, I thought we were celebrating the defense of ideals, the right to live free and fair, Mudd continued. The right to live according to the documents that our Founding Fathers established, the right to of every person every citizen in the country to pretend like they can be president, the right to have economic opportunity. I didnt realize we were fighting the chance to pay for guns, for weapons.

CNNs Brianna Keilar said Trump swerved away from the purpose of the 4th of July to instead move into something very popular, which is the military.
Her colleague, John Kirby, said the 4th of July is totally the wrong holiday to celebrate the U.S. military. Kirby said Trump had originally sought to have a military flyover on Veterans Day, but instead shoe-horned it into a 4th of July celebration.
Remember these folks are all liberals and a great deal are former Obama officials. Yeah, these things arent really pointed out in the chyrons and for good reason. The day is over. Trump supposedly did celebrate the military. These people didnt like it. So what? Were still here. No coup occurred. CNN and the rest of these clowns played their part: being against anything Trump does. This commentary is what youd expect from the D.C. crowd, an insufferable petri dish of condescending progressive plague.
Sticks in the mud.
Cavil Commie News.
Sullen, unsuccessful party poopering.
Eff them.
Always.
All Ways.
Every Way.
Because you can.
And because they Suck.
The over the top Trump hatred isn’t resonating with the overwhelmingly America loving citizenry. The media’s over the top hate and non-stop coverage got Trump’s message out the first time. I am convinced the media hatred will secure his 2nd election. Seriously, who do they think they are fooling and/or talking too, the population consists of no more than 5% haters, who get ALL the air time.
Bringing up Betsy Ross and then MLK was genius...
If it was an eighth grade history lesson, it might help make up for the lack of history taught as of late.
eighth grade history
CNN and propagandists like them are trying to reduce Americans’ understanding of history to the preschool level.
You cannot get better confirmation than Mudd hating it. Was one of the best 4th speeches evah. He even included the Coast Guard.
July 4th is an excellent day to celebrate the military. We didn’t earn our independence by publishing the Declaration. We earned it on the field of battle. Thank God for the American fighting spirit!
More people learned of the CNN dissention by reading the Townhall piece than actually watched it on CNN
Recently, I have come to believe that ATT can’t sell CNN because there is no buyer. The remaining course is to let CNN continue to just wither on the vine
I saw some comments on facebook about something he said in his speech and was hoping to get some logical info about it. The leftist lunatics claim, of course, that he was lying when he said the following (I got this from a transcript):
“Our army man the air, It Rand, the ramparts, it took over the airports it did everything it had to do. And at Fort McHenry, under the rockets red glare, it had nothing but victory. And when dawn came there, Star Spangled Banner waved defiant Shiloh, Antietam and Gettysburg. Our soldiers gave the last full measure of devotion for the true unity of our nation and the freedom of all Americans.”
Of course, there were no airports during the Revolutionary War. Did he really say that? I figure someone editing his speech missed that.
Hope some folks can help here.
This is the reason CNN’s ratings continue to sink. If they start to lose advertisers, look for a general House Cleaning by ATT or possibly the sale of the Network.
I switched over the CNN shortly after Trump’s speech ended just to see what their reaction was. They were visibly angry and depressed.
They tried to create the impression that Trump’s salute to America was the most disgusting thing they had ever seen. All they could talk about was their own political views instead of honoring our heroes.
Its no wonder their ratings are so low. CNN is unwatchable.
I've called it the Commie News Network for years (as have so many others ...) however today, it's being re-branded by me as the Commie C*** Network.
(I hope that doesn't get censored here on FR. Didn't think I needed to spell that second word out.....)
Exactly
Cavil? What does that mean?
We didnt earn our independence by publishing the Declaration. We earned it on the field of battle.

Exactly right. A most excellent comment!
