He caved. The census is used for representation, not government databases.
Blue state folks can just point the census takers way to the nearest illegals domicile since they’re going to count them as citizens anyway. Don’t help inflate blue state numbers by being counted among the illegals.
So ... the census is moving on without the question. Trump is looking at other actions he can take. Actually the census question would not do much anyway. Are we to believe illegal aliens would admit on the census form "yes - you got me - I am an illegal alien. Come get me?" :-) Heck no. They would just answer "Si somos legales" and move on and no one would do squat about it.
Sure the census question should have been included but both sides have been exaggerating the real significance.
However ... Trump might just end up with more accurate data by using data from other sources rather than self-admitted census data anyway. If Trump does this right he might make lemons out of lemonade. If it results in more illegals being deported then I am good. We shall see.

It's my understanding the constutution says counting persons, not specifically legal citizens. That is the next legal battle battle - should non citizens be counted for representation?

I wonder if this “estimate” of citizens and non-citizens gleaned from the databases of all Federal departments will include names, birthdates, etc., and will the government be able to cross-check those names with voter registrations, which are compiled by the States?
Upside: we get more accurate information AND we get more of it.

It doesn’t matter where or how he gets the correct number of citizens, the States get awarded reps from the census only.
BTW, it is now a week after the so called deadline POTUS gave Pelosi and how many raids have we heard about?

They don't exclude the non citizens counted in the census from the citizens when apportioning reps.
I see that as the next battle. If Trump can't get the numbers from the census then he's going after them the another way. He still has to fight the citizen vs non citizen count for apportionment battle.
I totally agree. Census awards districts and Reps. The EO ordering agencies to report data legal and illegals will not stop the awarding of Reps. Many agencies hate Republicans and our President and will stall and not comply or there will be any left wing Judge who will stop it and then it will go to SC where there is a now a precedent on “what is your motive” thinking going forward on all cases.
There really is no way to stop Roberts from here on out.
I really wish the “dirt would be exposed on Roberts” but I don’t see that happening. If our side tried to do so- there would be a leak, an investigation, calls for impeachment of the President, etc.
I am really angry and Ross and the DOJ lawyers who argued the case at SC.
Why should I care about this woman and why didn’t you put why I should care about this woman in your post? I’m not going to Breitbart and getting inundated with ads.
