The smartest man in the world once explained a metaphor apropos to this moment in time when Robert Mueller will testify before congress. It goes like this:
In front of you sits an ear of corn. You are trying to prove its an ear of corn to a room of corn cob deniers. Instead of trying to prove the true nature of what it is, focus your laser inquiry on one specific kernel and hit that single kernel with laser intensity. When that single kernel pops, you will have proved its an ear of corn.
In a rare moment CTH agrees with Trey Gowdy, as he discusses the upcoming Mueller testimony: (video link at source)
Back to the corn cob metaphor. Heres how to make a single Mueller kernel pop.
♦ When exactly did Rod Rosenstein first contact you about becoming special counsel?
♦ Did you immediately agree to become special counsel when asked?
♦ How much time transpired between Rosenstein asking you to become special counsel and your acceptance of the position?
♦ When exactly did Rod Rosenstein contact you about going to the White House on May 16th, 2017?
♦ Were you aware of the possibility of being appointed special counsel, prior to May 16th, 2017?
♦ On May 16, 2017, when you traveled to the White House, were you applying to become FBI Director?
♦ Other than Rod Rosenstein, did you speak to any members of the DOJ or FBI prior to going to the White House on May 16th, 2017?
♦ Were you aware President Trump was under investigation prior to your conversation of May 16th, with President Trump?
♦ Were you aware of the nature of the Trump investigation, prior to May 16, 2017?

Expose em all.
I believe there is the possibility that Mueller will decide not to testify.
Further down:
“Occams Razor A former FBI Director meeting with the president of the United States in the oval office . in the middle of one of the more consequential time-periods in history immediately after the firing of the former FBI Director with family and a network of friends curious as to the outcome . who is also communicating with the Deputy Attorney General doesnt *accidentally* leave his cell phone in the Oval Office.”
If he testifies, he will not answer a lot of questions.
Self incrimination.
Sometimes refusing to answer questions is seen in and of itself as self indicting.
Trey Gowdy was so good at getting to the bottom of Benghazi......../s
Is Gowdy a Deep Stater? I don’t recall any work product of his while in Congress that would indicate he isn’t one of them.
Only ask a question if you already know the answer.
Corn! See, this is why having a Produce Manager as your interweb political pundit and treehouse guide makes sense!
I used to love Gowdy. Then I realized one day that at the end of the day, nothing - not one thing - he did ever came to anything. It was all theater. All of it.
Heard the hearing has been put off by a week.
Muelldog getting cold feet?
Question 1:
Did you ASK RR or any other FBI officials to be appointed SC?...................
Gowdy is controlled opposition. He’s a solid player for Team Deep State. I thougth he wanted to retire from politics. All this gum flapping from the peanut gallery is amusing.
“I don’t recall.” Actually, I think Nadler will shut down any questions not directly related to the report. Mueller will just sit there and look stupid while the Dems/GOP have a theatrical food fight.
Maybe he’ll use the ole Sandy Burglar sloppy excuse to explain “forgetting” his cell phone when he left the Oval Office.
No, I don’t believe for a minute that Gowdy is a deep stater. His powers were always limited. He couldn’t prosecute anyone, only ask questions. And in his limited capacity, he had to be careful what he said. He did a lot to help form public opinion against Hillary, though. He’d make a good AG,Probably no better than Barr, though, but if you gave Gowdy a “big stick”, I believe he’d use it.
I believe there is the possibility that Mueller will decide not to testify.
***********
If he does show up expect to see some breaking of House traditions and other shenanigans to restrict questions from Republicans. The Democrats can get away with stuff like this. Rules mean nothing to them.
I hadn’t heard about him leaving the cell phone in the OO. Why don’t I think it accidental.
First, I can't imagine why anyone would be let into the Oval Office with a phone.
Second, the activity on the phone is traceable, and should have been investigated by now.
I don't believe Mueller would ever interview for the FBI job; he had to be going to the Oval Office to see if he could get a handle on what Trump was like. Mueller had clearly been offered the job of Special Counsel before the meeting.
