Massachusetts prosecutors drop Kevin Spacey sex assault case

BOSTON (Reuters) - Massachusetts prosecutors on Wednesday dropped a criminal case accusing former “House of Cards” star Kevin Spacey of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old man at a Nantucket bar in 2016 after the alleged victim refused to testify.

Prosecutors said they made the decision to drop the felony indecent assault and battery charge against the Oscar winner after the alleged victim invoked his right under the U.S. Constitution against giving self-incriminating testimony.

Spacey’s lawyers had previously accused the man of deleting text messages that would support his defense. The man invoked his Fifth Amendment rights during a hearing earlier this month concerning the whereabouts of his cell phone, which was missing.

A lawyer for Spacey, 59, did not respond to requests for comment.

Spacey, who has won two Oscars, including the best actor Academy Award in 2000 for his role in “American Beauty,” had pleaded not guilty to the charge. His lawyers had called the allegations “patently false.”

Why would the victim testify when he was handsomely paid off?

Someone was either threatened or paid off.

Paid off?
“Spacey’s accuser sued on June 26, but dropped the lawsuit a week later ahead of a July 8 hearing’
Sounds like that to me.

Now maybe they will move on to the case of ‘Gropey’ Baker, son of Mass. Governor Tall Deval Baker. Baker’s son was quite strongly accused of being drunk and groping the breast of woman sleeping next to him on a flight. And this was right around the time Tall Deval was calling for Brett Kavanaugh to be tarred and feathered for exactly the same thing. Yet the case has seemed to just vanish into the giant toilet that is Mass. politics.

But Gropey’s dad is still out throwing stones at Trump. An absolute disgrace of a man.

I mean Baker is the disgrace, not Trump.

We all hated on Spacey. We destroyed his entire career. But has there been a single, credible assault allegation against him? Not to my mind.

Meanwhile Billy Clinton comes and goes as he pleases with no consequences. Despite his rape. Despite his 26 flights on the Lolita Express. Curious.

Spacey also traveled with Epstein to pedo island in the USVI, according to flight logs.

So how does this get listed on Spacey’s IRS form?

The victim erased some text messages and then “lost” his phone.

I have to agree with you. I’m not a fan of Spacey’s lifestyle or politics, but he is entitled to basic rights. And in this case it looks like he got lynched by the ME2 crowd and some of us on the right were more than happy to applaud because we don’t like the guy. This was not our finest moment.
