ESPN's Dan Le Batard hammers own 'cowardly' network for not tackling Trump: If you're not calling it racist, 'you're complicit'
ESPN host Dan Le Batard blasted his own network on Thursday while taking on President Trump over the "send her back" chants that were heard at his North Carolina rally, telling his audience that his employer is "cowardly" for not allowing political discussion and that people are "complicit" if they don't call out the chant as "racist."
"This felt un-American what happened last night ... It's not the America that my parents aimed to get for us, for exiles, for brown people," Le Batard began. "There's a racial division in this country that's being instigated by the president and we here at ESPN haven't had the stomach for that fight because Jemele [Hill] did some things on Twitter and you saw what happened after that and then here, all of a sudden, nobody talks politics on anything unless they use one of these sports figures as a meat shield in the most cowardly possible way to discuss these subjects."

To be fair the new skipper of ESPN has publicly announced they are moving away from being a political platform like in the recent years and their ratings have started to rebound somewhat as results. ESPN is becoming as popular as CNN. When will they realize people don’t want politics on a sports station, especially liberal politics.

What an idiot.
One of the most annoying aspects of Le Batard’s show is he regularly features his father, who puts on a cartoonish Cuban accent. I don’t doubt that his father was born in Cuba, but he’s lived in the US for decades. In a weak attempt at ‘humor’, his father affects a Ricky Ricardo/Speedy Gonzalez type accent, while Le Batard rolls his eyes at his crazy father. It seems almost right out of a 1930s minstrel show.
For La Batard to call out ‘racists’ when his schtick consists of that is stomach-turningly hypocritical.

Dan Le Batard worked for the Miami Herald sports section, a Liberal rag in Miami-Dade County.
I thought ESPN was doing a makeover and getting rid of their progressive trash. I guess they missed something or La Bastard just came out of hiding.
