Since entering the presidential race, former Vice President Joe Biden has faced repeated questions about past statements he’s made criticizing school busing, fondly remembering racist white senators, and helping pass draconian laws in the ill-conceived drug war.
On Thursday, another decades-old quote of Biden’s surfaced courtesy of the Trump campaign’s opposition research team. A September 20, 1987, story in the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Biden had bragged about receiving an award from George Wallace, the former Alabama governor and one of America’s most notorious segregationists.
The same story went to quote a presidential primary campaign speech Biden had given in Alabama in which he said “we (Delawareans) were on the South’s side in the Civil War.”

Oh, that’s what Americans want to hear from a Presidential candidate. What a brilliant politician, Donald Trump must absolutely trembling in fear.
So if CNNPC and MSNPC attack Trump for what they perceive to be racism must they not go after Biden with equal intensity when the Trump reasearch team digs up something?

Biden has a better chance in the general election than the uber socialists in the Dem Party do. But he will be so beat up by then (by Trump and fellow Dems) that he will squeak by with 30% -35% of the party primary votes and then get destroyed in the general election.

But Trump would destroy him based on these past comments and hillary only got 78 percent of the black male vote last time, which means black dudes are at least OPEN to voting for Trump.
Hearing everything that Biden said would get us maybe 25 percent of black males. That would be INCREDIBLE.

Mr. Biden, words mean something....The North had a Civil War, they were fighting the South over tariffs. The South was involved with the War of Northern Aggression.; the South wanted to leave the union. For years before that unrest, no one wanted slavery except the ship builders of New England and banks who loaned money for the slaves; Lincoln used emancipation to political reasons to keep the war going until he/General Sherman destroyed the South for all practical purposes and ended a war that never should have been.

That said, down the Delmarva Peninsula there were a lot of slave-owners and Southern supporters. We were down there on the Maryland side and I was surprised by the number of monuments to Confederate veterans.
Delaware was a slave state until the end of the civil war.
