Time to Wheel Robert Mueller Away
American Thinker.com ^ | July 25, 2019 | William F. Marshall

How did a man in such a sorry state of such self-evident mental decline get appointed to head up one of the most significant investigations in American law-enforcement history?

That is the question one would be forgiven for asking watching Robert Mueller’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee regarding his investigation into alleged “collusion” between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia. The number of times he sat, mouth agape, while direct and straightforward questions were put to him, only to ask that the questions be repeated, was striking. “What was the question?” was one of Mr. Mueller’s most oft-repeated responses. The amount of stammering, stumbling, “ehs”, and “uhs” was almost embarrassing to watch. Even Democrats were obviously frustrated by Mueller’s halting, timorous responses, especially regarding President Trump’s alleged “obstruction” of the government’s investigation.

The image wasn’t helped when the first Republican to question Mueller, Rep. Doug Collins of Georgia, said he would make an extra effort to speak slowly for Mueller’s benefit. That kindness didn’t seem to help Mueller’s comprehension, based on the number of times he continued to ask that questions be repeated, or the time when he directly contradicted what he had written in “his” report: Saying that, in colloquial terms, “collusion” and conspiracy were not the same thing, whereas his report said they were.

Mueller did his best, given his declining faculties, to bob and weave, as Republicans did an estimable job of putting very reasonable, and often biting, questions to him. He frequently invoked the mantras “That’s outside my purview”, or “I can’t get into that”, or “I’ll stand by the report.” But those invocations only reinforced what has been apparent for months -- that Mueller was a figurehead who never effectively ran the Special Counsel investigation and didn’t know his own report’s contents.

I am reminded of the Star Trek Episode where a Planet’s Dear Leader is shown on TV with a Big Microphone covering his Mouth. You can hear him but you can’t see his Mouth moving.

How about someone formally ask Rod Rosenschemeckel? That pr!ck needs a complete “proctological exam” by AG Barr.

Somewhere between John Gill and maimed Christopher Pike. :-)

Does that man appear to be a crackerjack lawyer/investigator worth $1700/hour to head up the probe? And they say he took a big pay cut from his private practice position to do so.

We are fed a lot of fairy tales.

This is a liberal tactic. You saw this with Clinton saying “I don’t remember” a ton of times, because it gives her a way to not answer without lying.

That’s outside my purview”, or “I can’t get into that”, or “I’ll stand by the report.”

All of this was Mueller’s tactic to avoid telling the core truth - Trump broke no law.

Mueller leaves federal employment having failed to get the target that would have added his name to those of a fabulously profitable law firm.

Mueller is sad and dejected, having failed. The fact that failure was inevitable is no comfort to the old man.

To me it’s pretty obvious that the team was already chosen and needed a figurehead to cover for them so Mueller’s reputation as a Republican, a vet, a straight shooter (fake), former head of FBI..etc. etc. was used to cover for the rabid rats.

Their problem is they couldn’t trap Trump, Trump got rid of Sessions, Trump is doing a great job as POTUS and has support of the people, and then the idiots decided to go for broke and put their figurehead out there to testify.

Donald J Trump outsmarted the bastards.

Faking senility is often the last refuge of a crooked, dirty old man. I suspect that off-camera the real Mueller is STILL a conniving, crooked, and ruthless bastard.

Mueller has failed the Wicked Witch of Westchester.

Lots of leftist loot will not be in his future.

The report is hundreds of pages long.

It was carefully written by the best legal experts the left could put on the case after the most exhaustive investigation of one person in the history of mankind.

Mueller could do no better the the best of the lawyers of the left, so he didn’t try.

Yesterday Mueller said the leaks coming from his office didn’t come from his office. I’ll bet ten bucks that back when the leaks where happening, he asked Weismann, who was probably the leaker, if anyone on the team was leaking and Weismann lied to his face and said “no”, and Mueller either bought it or decided not to pursue it further.

I still lay blame for all this at one man’s feet. Jeff Sessions. He had no reason to recuse himself. He is a jack ass.

RE: The report is hundreds of pages long.

Based on his answers to questions yesterday, I don’t even think he was familiar with what was in it.

His response to the references about FUSION GPS was astonishing — HE DID NOT KNOW ABOUT FUSION GPS (he said ) !!

Over $40 million dollars spent and he has no knowledge of Fusion GPS??

What kind of an investigation is this?

No mental decline. Guilty conscience.
