I am listening to the (D) mayor of Dayton OH’s press conference. All her focus is on the gun control issue, though she could not even properly describe the gun. She has mentioned “250 mass shootings in US so far this year”. What??

Those of us who can legally carry might consider doing so at all times. I don’t expect this to end.

Of course she wants to exploit tragedy for political gain.

Keep in mind drugs are illegal and people still get them.

Guns are illegal in Chicago and it has the highest shooting rate in the country.

Someone needs to remind the mayor that criminals do not obey laws.... That is why they are criminals.

Criminals are not going to look at a law band and obey it. What an idiot mayor!

A mass shooting is defined as four or more injured or killed by the Gun Violence Archive.

FBI tracks active shooter incidents, there were 12 ibn 2018. https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/active-shooter-incidents-in-the-us-2018-041019.pdf/view

In contrast teh Gun Violence Arvhice says there were 340 mass shootings in 2018. https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/past-tolls

They are trying to make it sound worse than it is.
